I have been working at Miva full-time

    Pros

Very low stress work enviroment. No micromanaging at all. Like all jobs you are expected to do your job and as long as you continue to do so I see zero issues. Schedule is very flexible. If you are always eager to learn new things, this is a great place to be. The atmosphere is just amazing. I wish a lot more companies would take the same approach for their employees. Treated to lunch once a month. Video games in the break room. What more can we ask for. I love my job.

    Cons

Benefits for a small family can be pricey to some.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you all do best!

I have been working at Miva full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You're not micromanaged - as long as you do your job, you have the flexibility and freedom to work through your projects as you can. Love the atmosphere - super friendly, pets come in now and then, the company treats us to lunch once a month with a themed party, large lunch and play area (video games, free yoga classes on Wed., foosball, etc.) Love the environment and atmosphere here!

    Cons

Two hours of commute a day, one hour each way - subject to change depending on traffic.

I have been working at Miva (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good atmosphere, very welcoming and friendly coworkers. Seriously every single person was pleasant and relaxed to work with. Great place to get started in front end web development.

    Cons

Uses a proprietary scripting language that is not a transferable career skill. About $15k below market annually.

    Advice to Management

Company itself, awesome. Perhaps make annual salary increases far greater to entice more developers to stay.

    Pros

This company has definitely got it figured out from not only being an extremely successful ecommerce solution but also in the way they treat their staff and employees. Its fully understood here that in order to have happy customers, creating a solid working environment in every possible way is essential to thrive.

    Cons

I couldnt say a bad thing about this place if I tried.
