      Worst Franchise Ever

Oct 25, 2020 - Retail Associate Manager in Dallas, TX

      Business Outlook

      Pros

75% off your tmobile service (when it works!... Which isn't often.)

      Cons

I would suggest working at this T-Mobile premium retailer... If you like being dehumanized, humiliated, SEVERELY underpaid (with stolen wages.) and downright underappreciated. They make up arbitrary goals that make them money but they're so high that you do not get paid on them because they're unachievable. Upper management is a joke, especially the regional manager over the store managers in Dallas TX since July 1st of 2020. The HR department is in the owners pockets and has no interest in helping the employees when upper management is harassing and belittling (including but not limited to s*xism, r*cism and just proper toxicity.) their employees. Recognition is non existent unless you're committing fraud in order to meet these unachievable goals, and fraud is often whispered as a suggestion just enough that the owners are not liable. The whole franchise is littered with crooks in upper management who groom store managers/assistant managers into believing they CAN make large sums of money, but then take it away as soon as they actually start having to write the checks. Lastly, they do not provide cleaning supplies necessary to adhere to local/state MANDATES and do not care if employees catch covid-19.

      A lot of fake reviews

      Jul 11, 2020 - Retail Store Manager
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Making friends with co workers and pay is decent if you hit your goals. But most of the time the sales associates or the assistant manager makes more money than you as a store manager.

      Cons

Long hours, they cut your budget hours so you and one other person are working. They discipline us if we don’t clock out for lunch but there is no time to take lunch with myself and another employee working. Some days the managers have to work 12 hours a day. They keep changing the pay every 2 months, very unstable to make a living. Micro manage to the max, they often threaten us that the Corporate office is watching us with their 12+ Flat screen TVs on all the cameras to ensure everyone is keeping busy. A few people have gotten fired for leaning on a desk to take a rest after a rush. They constantly promise people promotions and never happens. A lot of harassment from upper management. Some are racist, I should have reported it but they will find someway to fire you. Don’t expect a life outside of work. A lot of turnovers, they hire recruiters and let her go in a few months. Not cause she did something wrong but because they don’t need that position. A lot of back and forth, unorganized. Overall, they sell you the dream so be careful what you believe.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review, and I am sorry your three years of employment with the company has not been a better experience for you. As a store manager, you have been promoted and earned the title for being a leader in our organization. Which also comes with many responsibilities. The people you manage and upper management look to you for guidance and feedback to better our procedures. The store manager position may feel overwhelmed in circumstances of pay structure or commission, staffing, and procedural changes. Still, I assure you the Human Resources Department is here to tackle any of these subjects with you or for you. And in no way is it ever acceptable to feel bullied, a victim of sexism or racism, and urge you to contact us immediately at hr@mobileonellc.com. Lastly, no comments on this page are fake. I am personally responsible for collecting honest feedback from our employees, such as this, so that we can make the company a better and safer place. Please reach out to me at any time to further investigate your concerns.
