I have been working at Modspace full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are a lot of nice people you get to work with and you get a lot of PTO. They are improving. They are improving the computer system but it is still very frustrating at times but at least it is getting better.

    Cons

The biggest issue is inventory and not being able to fill customers orders. Corporate tells us every year that we will be getting new equipment but no new equipment ever comes. The commission structure is so confusing that you can't figure out how much you should be getting paid on certain deals. Also they have cut the sales rep commission 3 times since I started. Lastly, HR is a total joke and will lie to you to take a position and be very careful before excepting a new position. Also make sure you negotiate your base salary as high as possible because the lack of inventory equals lower commissions!! Since I started working here around 3 years ago I can tell you that at least 50 or more sales reps have quit that is right quit not fired!! Only take this job if you are desperate for a job or fresh out of college.

    Advice to Management

Get new equipment and hire managers who have been in the trailer business because they will know how to increase sales and solve issues that are particular to the office trailer business. Also you should hire HR that actually want to keep employees and not let them quit cause they are unhappy!! Having HR lie to employees to take certain position is not the best practice and will only make employees leave the company. Lastly, pay ISA more money they work ten times harder the TSM and make a lot less !!

    I worked at Modspace full-time

    Pros

    Clean building
    Plenty of room to park
    Nice people

    Cons

    -Upper management suck
    -HR sucks
    -LIARS
-If you suck up you'll get a bonus
    -Horrible pay
-Manager don't like you = Lay off
    -Don't pay bills on time
-Lazy Directors, VP's, and CEO (Some)

    Advice to Management

Manage ALL employees the same. If we were all treated fairly you wouldn't have as many people leaving. Also, when a manage and employee can't get along try to mediate the people not get rid of the employee. Look at the mess you are in now. I am smiling from ear to ear........

I have been working at Modspace full-time

    Pros

Modspace offers competitive salaries and branch offices in most every metropolitan cities. Field offices are small, but have the backing of a large corporation. Benefits are great!

    Cons

Sometimes staffing can't catch up with the work volume, but that's a nice problem to have!

I have been working at Modspace full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexibility at branch level & good vacation.

    Cons

Lack of leadership, authenticity, and candor. Politics runs the shows, not hard-work and dedication. It's more valuable to the company that you stick around for various years rather than improve the process or yourself. I'm aware that my position is to be trained, yet there is no training, I spend days where I do nothing and practically beg my boss for work with no avail. If you like to produce quick results for quick growth, don't bother, just slow down, do what's required and wait for at least two years before you start to consider growing.

    Advice to Management

Create a training program, engage your Specialists as they were the future of the company (not low-level tools), give them an opportunity to shine, consistently challenge them with creative problems. Learn your employee's background because they could have valuable experience that a manager can leverage to improve performance. If the Operations Specialists are truly the future of the company what have you done to develop them besides placing them in a branch and walking away?
