Pros

Not too stressful and can be a great place to start career.

Cons

Hiring managers at Neal Analytics do not have tech background so you will receive little to no guidance, training or learning from NA. The only time I had a conversation with her was in the beginning when she helped me with the interview with client. Other than that, our email communication was rude, cold and included many miscommunications. No sense of belonging or feeling like you are making a difference. Neal Analytics managers are not inspiring or leading, seemed like employees purpose is just to make money for NA. No training or higher education offered by Neal analytics so you're on your own. Like many reviews here, young person at front desk was very disorganized and incompetent. Didn't seem like he knew how to handle insurance paperwork and ruined the process for several people. Upper management did not pay attention to feedback/questions, always dodged questions when asked about bonus. 10 vacation days a year and no paid public holiday so good luck trying to get a paid vacation.

Pros

If you are interested in analytics (e.g. ML, AI, BI, etc.) then Neal Analytics provides a collaborative culture focused on tackling complex problems across multiple industries. Projects: There are always new challenges, interesting business problems, and plenty of opportunities to grow. Projects are definitely fast paced, but if you pay attention and have the appetite then you will grow in experience quickly. Culture: Teams are collaborative in nature and most are easy to work with. No micromanaging and leadership trusts you to work hard and smart. If you delivery on time, highlight risks, and believe in customer success then you are given a lot of freedom to drive your career. Clients: Neal Analytics works with a variety of clients; both in industry (e.g. Fashion, Entertainment, Finance, Government, etc.) and size (from small start ups to Fortune 100). This provides a lot of breadth of experience in analytics that crosses all industries. It also gives you an opportunity to discover which industry really captures your interest. Overall, I would recommend Neal Analytics. It provides great opportunities to grow and drive your own career.

Cons

Neal Analytics is a small consulting company. It comes with the pros and cons of both small companies and consulting (though travel is not as extensive). If you are not intimidated by ambiguity, wearing multiple hats, and consulting in general then there are very few cons.
