I worked at NeurogesX (Less than a year)

    Pros

Autonomy, great managers, all new hires for a new company. Marketing and home office tried to help everyone.

    Cons

Not enough funding, new unlisted procedure to teach neurosurgery, anesthesia, pain. Difficulty to sell and grow? Extremely challenging.

    Advice to Management

Don't switch CEO's mid- year during a time when you are trying to raise capital.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

Some of the people are very nice to work with. Great product though. Some opportunity to work on different projects are available.

    Cons

Management does not always listen. Important feedback not always communicated to teams. Functional teams not always aligned on project targets.

    Advice to Management

Communicate your goals and expectations clearly. We want help you succeed as much as you do. Listen to employees needs.
