Pros
CEO listens, and creates change when and wherever it's needed. Nextep is getting set up to grow quickly, and there has been a lot of change recently to prepare for that growth. Growth is what creates OPPORTUNITY for us all. Nextep is my home, and I look forward to riding the growth train along with Brian and the team! If you're a good person, looking for a place where you're not just a number, and you're not afraid of change and growth-- THIS is the company to work for!
Cons
If you can't hang when a company is growing, and changing, this might not be the place for you.

Pros
Nextep is a company that I feel has what's best for me in mind. Our CEO listens, and if it''s something he can fix- he willl do it. The company is very women driven, and we are valued. This is hard to find in a company, so working in a company structured that way is very refreshing.
Cons
I truly don't have any. I'm heard when I speak up, and that is all I can ask for.
3Nextep Response4w
We appreciate your kind words and are thrilled to know that you feel Nextep has your best interests at heart. Our CEO's commitment to listening and taking action is something we take pride in. We're also proud to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for women in the workplace. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we're glad to hear that you're heard when you speak up. Thank you for being a valuable part of our team!

Pros
You can tell each and every day that the CEO genuinely cares about the people and cares about the business. I’m proud of our “Gives Back”culture and the people are fantastic to work with and care about each other.
Cons
You are expected to perform at a high standard to service our clients - but not a con in my opinion
3Nextep Response2mo
Thank you for your kind words! We agree that we do have high standards, but our high-quality employees and clients deserve nothing less than the best service. Thank you for being an important part of that success! We're also pleased you mentioned our dedication to giving back to the community. Philanthropy is an integral part of Nextep and our people.

Pros
I am on the Houston team and have an incredible manager here that supports our team day in and day out. Nextep is so committed to training their sales team to be the very best. They take time to celebrate our successes, both personal and professional. Our VP is also so inspirational and gives our entire region excellent motivation to achieve our goals. Of course I interact with my RSM and VP the most, but the leadership is incredible on all levels. Our CEO and CMO really take the time to give back to their employees, create an amazing work culture, and give us the freedom to come to them any time. I have had concerns before that I voiced to my RSM and the CMO of the company addressed them with me personally and worked to find a solution quickly. I don't know of many companies where you can talk directly with your CMO about concerns and have them take immediate action as a response while communicating with you throughout the whole process. So happy to work here and I feel so much pride in being a Nextepper!!!
Cons
None that I can think of.

We're thrilled to have you on our team, and your pride is well-deserved!

Pros
Not much anymore. There are (or were) really great people that work there. The building is nice.
Cons
If you are a people pleaser and a “yes man” then this place is for you! A lot of change and restructure with claim they are being “transparent” about it but will actually just talk around the subject. They are continuously getting rid of or driving employees out to bring in new people that do not know about all the problems. I suppose that makes sense but they drove so many good people out. Some managers are micromanaging just like anywhere else but there seems to be more of those than not. I’ve worked at some larger corporations and they weren’t great but this place takes the cake on soul crushing stress for not great pay. They find things to write you up for if they don’t want you around anymore to try and get you to quit. They also took away work from home days to “build company culture” when we all know that’s a load of crap. Just another tactic to weed out those “problem” employees that ask questions and give managers boundaries on workload. Also be aware if they fire people or if someone quits, they most likely will not backfill the position so more work for you!

Thank you for sharing your experience and honest feedback. Growth and change can create discomfort. We're addressing it in several ways, including building additional training resources, adding a quarterly bonus program, and monthly company-wide meetings where we'll answer any questions (even the really tough ones). And, of course, we love celebrating our successes with parties and team celebrations. We value the perspectives of all our employees and take concerns seriously. Please keep communicating transparently with us as we use it to make meaningful changes.

Pros
Colleagues go above and beyond for each other
Cons
Leadership is not transparent regarding staffing changes/terminations/not rehiring for positions where employee was fired or resigned. Hybrid work was taken away and now required to work in office 5 days a week with little flexibility if you have outside appointments. Under staffed and under paid for the work expectations. Employees are not set up for success, which leads to turnover and more work left for those we remain. Benefits were cut during our internal Open Enrollment and the CEO said that it was to pay the employees better, but this has yet to happen. 0/10 recommend.

Thank you for your review. We do agree that Nextep has been undergoing some changes over the past months. But we are hopeful that these are ultimately changes for the better to enrich our people's lives now and well into the future as we continue to grow. We continue our commitment to transparency through all-hands meetings, morning minutes, one-on-ones, skip-level meetings, and an open-door approach with all levels of leadership. We encourage you to take advantage of all of the avenues we have for communication or questions and look forward to collaborating.

Pros
The leadership in this company is AMAZING! They care so much about YOU personally and will do what is best for you! My family had the opportunity to move states and Nextep took action immediately and transferred me to the new state I am moving to! All leadership is so supportive and truly has your best interest in mind! Lastly, none of my other sales jobs have ever given me the resources to succeed like Nextep does! We are given so many tools and are encouraged to let them know if we think there are other resources we would benefit from!! Finding a culture like Nexteps is hard to find ESPECIALLY in sales! It is a 'one in a million' work culture.
Cons
None at all. This company is amazing to work for!
Nextep Response5mo

Pros
Nextep was and is a great company to work for. They actively asked for feedback from their employees and I always felt “heard”. Whenever I raised my hand and gave feedback about management, sales processes, ideas, etc, actions were taken almost immediately every time. Leadership was always making an effort to make the culture of the sales team great even though everyone was remote. Always ensuring the comp plan was the best, raising base salaries, investing in sales tools to make the job easier - you name it! The CEO schedules calls with every sales team quarterly. The upper leadership is incredibly approachable and cares for the good of the company! It is definitely a tough sales job with a lot of cold calling, but that isn’t a bad thing. All leadership does a fantastic job of motivating and celebrating small wins. The culture is unmatched.
Cons
The only con for me was the flexibility of the sale. A lot of WC and medical denials and not a lot of flexibility to win a deal once that happened. The hardest part is to get a prospect at the table and it was a bummer to have almost 50% of deals not positioned well. Also not a huge referral partner program in place and I wanted to focus my time on networking and building those relationships instead of spending all of my time cold calling. With that being said, still giving 5 stars because management ALWAYS was actively doing whatever they could to get you in a position to win no matter what. Putting deals in a position to win and making the selling process easier was a top priority so I am sure this will continue to improve!
Nextep Response4mo
Thank you for your kind words and also for your candor! We agree that our culture sets the foundation for collaboration, innovation, and personal growth, making it a place where you can truly thrive. We are constantly evolving and currently looking at our sales process to see how we can make it even better. Thanks again!

Pros
None at this time sadly.
Cons
It's a revolving door and no one seems to care. Everyone calls the CEO a narcissist, he is but isn't most people in power. What's worse is he's a bumbling idiot that can't hold a coherent thought for more than a child's typical attention span. What's worse that he makes racist and inappropriate comments in front of the company on a regular basis.
3Nextep Response2mo
We're sorry to hear you feel that way. If you have specific complaints or advice, please do communicate with us so we can address them. We're dedicated to being a great place to work.

Pros
No pros unfortunately. There used to be a ton but that shipped has long sailed.
Cons
Nextep had my previous review taken down. The reviews that you see that are positive are reviews that HR ask people to do. That and they are by people who don’t know what they have gotten themselves in to. No people of color in leadership. Very few in the entire company. No diversity, no equity, and no inclusion. The entire equity council is gone. What does that tell you? The CEO is allowing a consulting company to run his organization. They have cleaned up members of the executive team which was a good move. The VPs didn’t have the experience to advance the organization however they then hire people with little to no experience to run departments which makes zero sense.

We take diversity and inclusion seriously, actively monitoring our hiring practices and implementing initiatives to foster a diverse workforce. Our commitment to diversity extends to our Nextep Gives Back Foundation, where dedicated resources support our focus on inclusivity. As we expand, we're actively collaborating with partners and consultants to adopt best practices while we grow.
