    Pros

Flexible work schedule and fun individuals.

    Cons

Any administrative work is chaotically managed, HR is not supportive, communication is deeply broken, Viacom corporate significantly mishandled my Visa process to the point where I could no longer continue working for the corporation.

    Advice to Management

For a company that is international in scale, I would have expected my paperwork to be handled more professionally.

I worked at Nickelodeon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Summer Fridays all year long. Free breakfast.

    Cons

Management in New York doesn’t understand the process of development or production timelines. Lifers fail upwards with promotions after creating a string of flops because they are former assistants to top brass.

    Advice to Management

Stop being afraid of hiring people who are good at what they do. Learn something about the value of employees on the west coast. Stop rewarding failure and think that shuffling the deck chairs to protect your ineptitude is enough to hide your shortcomings.

I have been working at Nickelodeon full-time

    Pros

Fun, playful and creative work environment with friendly employees. Great work perks to distract you from the company's unstable conditions. It's great to see your work come to life in real-life and influence people all over the world.

    Cons

Too traditional and still operating as an old fashion brand. Limited growth and too hierarchical. High turnover.

    Advice to Management

Needs more morale and positive reinforcement. If you want to take risks, trust your employees that have fresh perspectives and offer room for mistakes.
