    Pros

Best company I have ever interned for! Had a very hands on experience and was given a great amount of responsibility during my time working with Nickelodeon.

    Cons

I wish I could have worked more days in the week because I had such a great experience!

I have been working at Nickelodeon full-time

    Pros

Fun, playful and creative work environment with friendly employees. Great work perks to distract you from the company's unstable conditions. It's great to see your work come to life in real-life and influence people all over the world.

    Cons

Too traditional and still operating as an old fashion brand. Limited growth and too hierarchical. High turnover.

    Advice to Management

Needs more morale and positive reinforcement. If you want to take risks, trust your employees that have fresh perspectives and offer room for mistakes.

I worked at Nickelodeon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Cool people to work with, fancy name on your resume, decent offices, petty perks here and there! You can make great connections!

    Cons

Cheap salaries, bad managers and line producers. They pretend to care about their employees but it’s all fake. They need to catch up to more progressive companies!

    Advice to Management

Don’t treat your employees like they are disposable

I worked at Nickelodeon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Good benefits and Competitive salary

    Cons

    - Upper management has become so afraid to take any chances or create anything new that they have been left behind in a fast changing industry.
-The current leadership is completely out of touch with its (former) audience.
    - Middle management are yes men and women who are reactive instead of proactive.
    - Their definition of change is to layoff entire departments annually.

    Advice to Management

-Find new, dynamic leaders that don't use the same formula the network has been using for decades. The 90's was over twenty years ago!

    Pros

Good work/life balance. Good benefits. Good job security.

    Cons

Have to fight hard for promotions. Work is done in silos. Employees aren't given much professional freedom. Not much transparency.

I have been working at Nickelodeon full-time

    Pros

Great place to work. I like the culture and company that makes children happy.

    Cons

Not easy to move up in the company if there are no openings.

I worked at Nickelodeon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

9-5, relaxed company culture, very nice people

    Cons

Not good pay, not a hard working environment (when 5 strikes everyone is gone), company as a whole on a negative trend w/o great properties

    Advice to Management

Culture too reliant on the properties selling themselves. Fine when SpongeBob and TMNT were top dogs, but not anymore.

I have been working at Nickelodeon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Opportunities to do work higher then level. Working with great content, very creative people and company offers many morale building activities.

    Cons

Upper staff members are a little old for the audience. There is no switch up from team to team making some jobs feel a bit stale.

    Advice to Management

Every creative person you hired was for a reason, use them! Internal mobility among the different teams of the Nickelodeon group keeps the creativity internal but allows fresh eyes and thoughts on each division.

I have been working at Nickelodeon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great employees, decent hours, fun and engaging productions, decent locations, lots of women in upper management

    Cons

Not quite a cohesive workforce, not as collaborative as they could be, not great at fostering growth/mentors for upcoming talent

    Advice to Management

Work to build a better community within the company. There is a good amount of promotion within, but most of it is without guidance and support. Upper management could do a better job of teaching their employees, and learning themselves, how to be strong and efficient leaders.
