Cons
Working under Tan-Achacon Caroline, the tech manager presented numerous challenges. While professional shortcomings are a part of any workplace, a few distinct issues became consistent patterns: Lack of Empathy: During personal crises, an understanding and supportive approach from management can make a difference. Regrettably, this was not the case with Tan-Achacon Caroline. Her reactions often seemed cold and indifferent, which had a significant impact on my emotional well-being during tough times. Inconsistency in Communication: On multiple occasions, there were discrepancies between what was discussed in meetings and subsequent communications. This inconsistency made it difficult to align with expectations and led to unnecessary confusion. Hasty Decisions: Decisions like the sudden revocation of login credentials without proper communication demonstrated a reactive approach rather than a well-thought-out strategy. It's essential for a manager to consider the implications of such decisions on the employees' morale and productivity. Lack of Growth Opportunities: The environment under Tan-Achacon Caroline's management was not conducive to professional growth. Feedback, when provided, was often vague and didn't offer actionable insights for improvement. Moreover, there was a lack of encouragement to take on new challenges or explore training opportunities. Inadequate Conflict Resolution: Whenever conflicts or disagreements arose within the team, the handling was often dismissive, and issues were brushed under the rug rather than addressed head-on. Such an approach not only hampers team cohesion but can also foster resentment. I hope that this feedback serves as constructive criticism, and I genuinely wish that future team members have an improved experience. It's essential for any organization to recognize the value of supportive and effective management.
