Pros

I have a bunch of friends from here. I made some phenomenol industry contacts that I will run into and do business with for many years to come. Jeans to work. Not horrible as a first job, which is what I did, gain experience and move on to a real company.

Cons

Unethical, unethical, unethical-this company is only still open from backend funds from vendors for marketing that they use to cut prices to as low as they can possibly go or right into the owners pockets. They are dishonest with vendors as to their business plans and outlook just to get more money from them. They only opened a retail location because the vendors gave them money for the build and more money for marketing programs. They used these increased marketing funds to cut prices even lower to sell more product online. The retail continues to have 1 customer per day. Why you ask? Because the money that was given to them for advertising for the retail was used to cut prices on products instead . Cheap, cheap, cheap-My manager bought me jimmy johns one time in the three years I worked there. You have to ask for your annual review, in which case you will have one if you send a billion emails about it. Probably no raise though or a minimal one. The salaries they pay are also well below industry standards. No development, no room for advancement-they get enjoyment out of having all the power and don't want to pay anyone the higher salary that comes with advancement. They stalk everything you do, micro management to the extreme. You have to punch in and out for the day and in and out for lunch, yes even salaried employees. Your breaks are also monitored, they have to be a minimum of 20 minutes, if it is 19 your manager has to fix it. You also have to print a copy of your timesheet and sign it and turn it in every week for HR to review by hand. They have cameras everywhere and monitor the sites you are on, which is fine, they have every right to do that but when you are running a slave operation and your employees are doing multiple jobs for one salary it becomes a bit ridiculous as to how you have the time to do that. They let go employees but add that job onto a current co-workers workload and not pay them anymore thus saving a salary. Then the next day you will see a new car in the parking lot.

Pros

Great people who passionately care about the business. Great location off of Edens. Open and team friendly atmosphere within the "Rank and file" employees. Team lunches and BBQ's. Bright and comfortable offfice

Cons

Senior leadership is short sided and doesn't communicate long terms goals or strategy. Constant fire drills. Ownership sees employees as a cost and not it's most important asset. Sr. leadership gives impression it doesn't trust it's employees. (Lots of cameras and locked doors in communual areas) No career or succession planning. Non existent performance review program. No investment in employee development. Salaried employees are required to punch "In and out" to prove hours worked. No consistent policy regarding telecommuting (Ownership plays favorites with who can and who can't)

Pros

Free Lunches from Vendors 1 - 2 times per week.

Cons

Where can I start... Can you say Micro Managers.. The managers treat us like 2 year olds. They watch everything we do, listen to our calls & jump in every conversation. All the managers are rude and talk to the employees like they are dirt. By far the worse place I've ever worked at and now I see why the past poor reviews and the revolving door this place has. Many of my coworkers & I wont be here much longer. Don't waste your time with this place unless your into micro managers.

PCNation takes pride in keeping pace with the evolving needs of our clients and the technology industry as a whole. We constantly evaluate and enhance our portfolio of products and services, as well as our business practices. Each co-worker and all members of our management team adhere to a strict code of conduct that outlines how we interact with each other as well as our clients. This code of conduct is a part of our onboarding process and is signed by all co-workers. Our environment lends itself to those with an entrepreneurial spirit who are able to work independently to consistently achieve their goals. When a co-worker is not reaching their length of service goals, we use a step-by-step plan designed to provide them with the resources needed to support their efforts to become a successful member of our sales team. This plan often includes regular feedback, direction and communication, and may include call shadowing to ensure the best possible outcomes for our client as well as the individual co-worker.
