Pros

The pay is competitive but thats about it.

Cons

Packsize use to be a European style company that cared about employees, team morale, work/life balance. Ever since they got the new CEO David Lockwood, it has becomes a corperate toxic workplace. Taking calls on complex machines with ZERO training on them. Never ending layoffs and then those job duties are just spread to others without pay increase. cutting corners on policy and safety, basically doing anything they can to make the books look good and the C-suite/investors get richer on the backs of overworked employees. There is no security in employment because over the last 2.5 years every few months there are new rounds of layoffs. I witnessed an amazing company that had heart and wanted to do good in the world, become just another capitalist corperate toxic place to work.

Pros

Good pay, solid health insurance, and the company provides the tools and resources needed to perform the job.

Cons

It changed significantly from what it used to be. It felt more like a family-owned company that genuinely cared about employees, but it has become much more corporate. Benefits have been reduced little by little, and the company is growing quickly through acquisitions without enough organization or clear direction.

Pros

Everyone at the lower levels of employment are fantastic to work with.

Cons

Middle management and above lack understanding of what the company actually does. Ideas are pulled from books being read by middle managers, randomly implemented without context of how they can be implemented in the specific departments operational environment and lower level leadership are instructed to implement these newfound ideas without any direction, or any instruction on how they will actually improve efficiency or productivity for the workforce. The company does not promote from within anymore. Often times, internal candidates who apply to postings for new roles do not get acknowledged. Middle management and above are convinced bringing in external candidates is the right way to go. Company has undergone several “restructurings” over the last couple of years since the new Global leadership team has taken over. Many people are let go during these restructurings in an extremely unprofessional manner. Company is fumbling through a major transition currently. My advice to any potential job seeker is to avoid this company. Micromanaging is the name of the game at this point with Packsize.
