      Not as great as projected to outside world

      Pros

      Above average technology which is not decoupled from vmware, good location, better work-life balance

      Cons

      Executive team is not open and often rude. Management thinks everyone else in the industry are stupid except them. Sales and Engineering teams don't interact, Huge disconnect. Product instability, Engineering execution and release roll out is slow and often delayed. You will be stuck in accelerating bunch of damn ESX Virtual machines.

      Pros

      Salary and benefits are on par with bay area startups Nice office and kitchen - company provided meals/snacks Market is there - flash/storage etc. is hot

      Cons

      Culture has gone from weak (you wont enjoy working if under 30 years old) to toxic. Business execution can best be described as schizophrenic - altho somewhat normal for startup. Employees are told they are replaceable. Customers and partners are not cared for (sell first ask questions later - no emphasis on Net Promoter Score). Vacuum of leadership on the sales side has resulted in fiefdoms. Unnecessary middle management.

      Great people, okay product

      Pros

      The company did a pretty good job of hiring top talent and almost everyone had a collaborative team-first attitude. They had pretty good procedure for requesting trial software and their expert use of Salesforce.com helped streamline field engagement with the back office.

      Cons

      The technology is very difficult to position as most of the industry is moving towards all-flash storage arrays. Being a VMware-only solution also closed a lot of doors as much of the industry is considering Openstack/KVM virtualization technology going forward.
