I worked at Pernod Ricard full-time

    Pros

An exciting and fun industry, powerful brands with a great history.

    Cons

Presents a very digitally hip and socially savvy image, when in fact its a very traditional, French dominated and mostly male run company. Add to that a de-centralized business model and you have lots of politics; endless debate and a very slow decision making process.

    Advice to Management

Inject more innovative ideas into the higher ranks...diversify your talent. Think long term, and stick to a plan. Change is good, but too much change can create confusion and dissent. Stop wasteful spending on endless reorgs and highly paid consultants and start investing in people (remember Patrick).

I worked at Pernod Ricard full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Brands are fantastic! The employees really give the company full support especially through usage of personal social media to support the brands.

    Cons

No growth at all! No loyalty for years worked in organization and reorganization seems to be the only thing consistent. Upper management is not diverse although the company preaches diversity.

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach and reward your hard working loyal employees in the end they are your best asset.

I worked at Pernod Ricard part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay check. The people were nice and mostly professional. The experience that was gained has helped me attain other jobs.

    Cons

Long hours, no solid finish time. The overtime was always last minute. The work wasn't very well organized. The training was minimal.

    Advice to Management

Make sure people know the extent of the overtime that is needed. Over 100 hour weeks is unacceptable. Also allow tranees take notes when learning new things.
