I have been working at Planview full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Relaxed culture
    Flexible work/life balance
    Inspiring/approachable leadership
    Healthy company growth
    Nice office headquarters
    Travel opportunities

    Cons

    Benefits have been reduced
    Company growth + acquisitions = excessive organizational turnover/change management/layoffs
    Corporate/organizational communication needs improvement
Pay/bonus structure is not competitive in some depts.
Flat structure - not many internal opportunities to grow professionally or get promoted

    Advice to Management

Benefits were reduced as company grows; offer more monetary incentives/bonus and internal growth opportunities for committed and hard-working employees to retain them.

I have been working at Planview full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - They completely redid the benefits this year. It's great, with new health care options, generous PTO, and higher 401k matching
    - Great leaders. For the most part, the team is full of people who are passionate and knowledgeable about what they do
    - With the new acquisition, it's going to allow the company to grow in new ways and add to the business and product. I'm excited to see where it's headed.

    Cons

    - Still a bit of organizing that's happening. Understandable due to the companies they've acquired and now their own acquisition.

    Advice to Management

In the new growth that we'll experience, I'd love to see more opportunities for professional growth and opportunities. If you could invest in our continued learning for our roles, it will better equip us as the company continues to move ahead.

I worked at Planview full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Free lunches, snacks, drinks, lots of free swag distributed regularly, shiny new offices, and telecommuting options. Lots of people have been there since it opened its doors.

    Cons

Team Managers really don't have great skills. Senior Management keeps a steady flow of new faces that never really seem genuine or truthful. If but only IF...you are friendly with the right people you have huge amounts of levity.

    Advice to Management

Consistency and honesty would go a long way in making this a better workplace. Stop worrying about the "pretty office decor" and focus more on employees.

I have been working at Planview full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Relax atmosphere of hard-working people with flexibility around personal life. Conservatively managed.

    Cons

Salaries tend to be on the low end of the scale for comparable companies

    Advice to Management

Establish pay ranges for each position based on the comparable market averages. For example, have the range between 40-80% of the average pay for the position, and compensate accordingly.

    Pros

Great culture and people. Innovative technology. Highly intelligent and creative staff.

    Cons

Rapid growth phase--this can lead to individuals falling through the cracks, or having their positions replaced by those in acquired companies.

    Advice to Management

More transparency over executive decisions should be given in a timely fashion. Allow staff to be included more in decision making processes, as large decisions affect the entire culture.

    Pros

Great opportunity to get your hands on some of the best tools in the industry and to make your own path.

    Solid team in Hosting Ops.

    Cons

Recent growth has been a rough ride for some. But opportunities arise through change for those motivated to succeed.

No company paid team outings. The Boss shouldn't have to pay out of pocket to keep his team happy!

    Advice to Management
