I worked at PlayPower full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Hardworking, experienced, a team player, able to multi-task, very adaptable to a new environment, & can work at a fast pace

    Cons

Sometimes I don't speak up if there is a problem, for instance with another employee.

    Advice to Management

Always listen and take into consideration what the employees say because they are doing the "hands on" work

I have been working at PlayPower (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The company has tremendous sales leadership, sales reps, and terrific inside support staff. The product is well built and is becoming more innovative. They pay their people well for good performance.

    Cons

The company is going through some interruption in its management which is causing some chain of command issues. They CEO will pinch pennies at times which causes some friction. Very slow to market on new innovation.

    Advice to Management

Listen more to the sales guys in the field on what is needed. Treat your inside staff as competent knowledgeable associates. Don't be to short-sighted to realize that the "old boy" network may need to be changed. It will definitely benefit you to bring in professionals from outside the industry for fresh ideas.

    Pros

Attempt to modernize office environment, create a casual and comfortable space.

    Cons

There are some old boys in the boys club here. The types that have been in their line of business or with the company for 15+ years and do not respect, or choose to learn anything new from working with and alongside a woman, especially a young one. I felt unwelcome from the second I walked in the door. I don't expect there is much to change this culture within a small company.

    Advice to Management

Learn something from new, young companies where energy is high from appreciation for collaboration and respect for each member of the team for what they bring to the table.

I worked at PlayPower full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent pay for Monett area, many wonderful co-workers, profit sharing program, used to be a fun place to work

    Cons

Company took on more than it could handle with acquisition and was unwilling to hire enough staff to reduce the burden. Overtime expectations became high, with managers working weekends and encouraging accounting staff to follow suit.

I have been working at PlayPower full-time

    Pros

Most of the people are nice.

    Cons

Cheap cheap cheap. Over worked and under payed, never replacing employees and piling their work on others.
No IT working in the building.
    Terrible communication through company(s)

    Advice to Management

Don't BS the people applying for a job, making them think this is a fun place to work. There is no family or "team" here it's every company/person for themselves.
