Pros

The only real pluses of working here are being stripped away. For example: the salaries weren't bad for Warwickshire but there is a rumour that the way they pay will be changed. They used to be pretty good at supporting remote and flexible working but now they keep trying to pointlessly claw people back into the office.

Cons

It's vastly colonial and outdated in its attitudes and operations, to the point it's an embarrassment. They are so bumbling, ponderous and cautious that nothing gets done, and when you try to get something new done it rubs people up the wrong way because either they're not used to it or they're embarrassed about being shown up. The leadership team are either passive aggressive or downright rude, making them quite unlikeable. HR, IT and other supporting functions in the UK are an absolute mess - there is no joined-up or user-centric employee experience at all. They are trying to be more communicative with staff (finally! That's a pro I guess!) but there's just no way around the fact that those in charge are privileged, UK-centric, and uninterested in the 'little' people.

Pros

Flexible working, and some staff.

Cons

Promotes change but little change internally. Staff tend to be long serving so reluctant to change and if you challenge or go against the stagnant approach it’s not received well. Culture could be seen as bullying in some departments. Would not recommend my previous team due to the manager in that team. Lack of understanding of mental health and it’s impact to daily living and as a disability.
