It's vastly colonial and outdated in its attitudes and operations, to the point it's an embarrassment. They are so bumbling, ponderous and cautious that nothing gets done, and when you try to get something new done it rubs people up the wrong way because either they're not used to it or they're embarrassed about being shown up. The leadership team are either passive aggressive or downright rude, making them quite unlikeable. HR, IT and other supporting functions in the UK are an absolute mess - there is no joined-up or user-centric employee experience at all. They are trying to be more communicative with staff (finally! That's a pro I guess!) but there's just no way around the fact that those in charge are privileged, UK-centric, and uninterested in the 'little' people.
