45-50 hour work week. There is a really long probation period on hire (6 months) and then no raise until a year after that. No real training. The biggest problem though is the old boy network. One guys has worked almost all his live at Premier. Most has been there so long they can’t work anywhere else and they know it. One of these old boys is the only one that can do the final programming and testing of the bagging systems no one can challenge his authority. A few months ago a new hire made a comment about some code he wrote, he got mad, harassed the guy for 4 weeks and then fired him! He also chews tobacco and always has a big dip in his mouth. Disgusting!

Failing at integrating operations that they acquire in the US. Lack of communication, unless you work in the corporate office (Quebec) Unclear expectations and seems that everything is managed by exception. Do more with less seems to be the mindset. All about saving a buck, not engaging employees. Micromanagement is common but preach their "entrepreneur" culture.
