I worked at Progenity full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent benefit package, but that's the only good thing.

    Cons

It's not a real company. Management as a whole is not trustworthy. Lots of people in the company get paid a lot to do nothing. There's no structure and HR makes things up as they go along. The only way for some to advance is by doing special favors to those with power.

    Advice to Management

Start listening to their employees. Reward those that are hard working. Learn what it is to be a good leader. Give people the raises they deserve.

    Pros

    Cons

Organization does not have the right people leading it. A lot of uncertainty and unhappy employees. Product and billing are not ethical

    Pros

I've been with the company less than 4 months. As far as I can tell, as long as the work gets done, with quality and in a timely fashion, all is good. Work from home is supported. Management seems to be very interested in improving processes and can rapidly implement changes to meet market demands and the shifting government and insurance/payor rules and practices.

    Cons

The ability to react can be a double-edged sword. Management may react too swiftly to perceived demands and changes; projects and processes can be implemented too quickly so that costly tweaking, reworking and fixing of processes becomes necessary.

    Advice to Management

Stay focused on the plan, goals and objectives, and don't react impulsively or too quickly to external and internal influencers. At the same time, act decisively when needed.

I have been working at Progenity (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great product and company mission. Benefits and compensation packages are favorable.

    Cons

If you're not a part of the "boys club" you will never grow within the organization

I have been working at Progenity full-time

    Pros

Lot of autonomy, no micromanaging, little administrative work

    Cons

Senior leadership is completely clueless, makes knee-jerk decisions that cost people their jobs. I have worked for several large corporations, and have seen good strategic operations. Trust me when I say this isn't one of them. The owner and senior leadership are corrupt to the core.

I have been working at Progenity full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I enjoy coming to work at Progenity every morning. It is a fun environment and the management team is very supportive of the employees. It is a dynamic environment and it keeps things fun and interesting. I look forward to many more years with the Progenity team!

    Cons

Progenity moves very quickly, which is great for me but may be a challenge for others.

    Advice to Management

Communication could always be a little better, but I can tell effort is being made. The culture at Progenity is great, so make sure that doesn't change as we grow.

I have been working at Progenity full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Relationship building is awesome when you have a budget to spend to keep cultivating them.

    Cons

In the same breath, budgets have been cut substantially that you wonder what's Stark allowable and what's not. Management is beyond outrageous. Unrealistic expectations, ramifications, performance scrutinization - this place has become a shell of what once was GREAT!!!

    Advice to Management

Get it together! Decide what's more important and operate your business accordingly. Temp volume drops shouldn't make your employees feel like they're on a PIP and heading for the employment line-- learn to LEAD!!!
