I have been working at Protect Controls full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some very nice people to work with. Very rewarding to see the finished product that you have handled from start to finish is a great accomplishment.

    Cons

No room for long term advancement. Intercompany disorganization. Each department plays the blame game instead of taking responsibility for their actions that may have caused wrong items to be ordered or installed incorrectly into our buildings.

    Advice to Management

In order for the company to grow the way it needs to all of the people (Veteran Employees) that are not open to change and growth need to go.

I worked at Protect Controls full-time

    Pros

Extremely clean restrooms and fresh limes from the lime tree. And Henry is pretty funny.

    Cons

If you like being given the run around by everyone, thrown under the bus, not working in a team environment, idiots as your supervisors, and too many long-term employees and family members keeping their hand in the cookie jar then this job is for you. Professional development was pretty bad and my supervisor was worse than a high school cheerleader. Unless your last name is Davis and you are related to Don then you won't get far and you won't be heard. This company has the oppurtunity to really be something once the family sells it and they get rid of the Al Walshes and Forest Boones.

    Advice to Management

Sell to someone who can run it and rid yourself of the HR witch.

I worked at Protect Controls full-time

    Pros

My co-workers were some of the best people to work with in the warehouse. Team work was sometimes a little hard. If you asked for help, most of the time you got it.

    Cons

Family owned company. I didn't feel like there was room to move into a better position.

    Advice to Management

Work more as a team instead of trying to throw people under the bus.

I worked at Protect Controls full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Co workers are like family, good work expeiriance

    Cons

Hones honestly the list is too large but I will list a couple of things I was called a peon and regularly heard supervisors call uh shop trash there is little to no room in moving up in the company unless your last name is Davis or you get a injury then you'll be promoted and given a pay raise because they can't afford any more OSHA complaints floor supervisors are more than rude and have absolutely no respect towards the workers just recently they had an electrical accident where a man was literally smoking on the ground with his fingers melting off and no one would help but two supervisors pulled out their phones took pictures of him and walked away soon after the man was transported away in the ambulance they walked around the shop showing everybody the pictures completely degrading the man this place being Littles you and is a horrible environment to work please save yourself the trouble and stress just walk away and do not work here!!! This place doesnt even deserve 1 star

    Advice to Management

Sell this company to someone that actually cares about the working class citizens
