I have been working at Q-MATIC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Opportunity for advancement for quality working professionals. Some of the negative reviews about Qmatic are accurate. There has been a high level of turn-over the past couple years, some for very good reason, and some because employees are lacking clear direction within their jobs. Qmatic's biggest strength, is also its biggest weakness. The culture within Qmatic has traditionally been to trust employees to find the best way of tackling challenges themselves. While this promotes a great level of individual freedom, it can also produces chaos and uncertainty for employees performing their jobs. I have seen a great deal of progress with this within the past year as new policies and procedures have been put in place, but work is still left to be done. Working for Qmatic is a challenge, but one that I truly find rewarding.

    Cons

Clear direction for employees, their roles, and their responsibilities is needed. Hands on leadership and direction would go a very long way. Setting direction and growth expectations is important, but what is missing is leadership digging into the details of how employees are actually performing their jobs, and defining best practices.

    Advice to Management

Senior leadership is excellent, but what is missing the foundation required for the organization to deliver on the goals and objectives set forth by senior leadership.

    I worked at Q-MATIC full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Small organization so easy to get to know your team members
Flexibility when needed (Remote available if a need occurs)
IT staff is very knowledgable about the product and the product offerings

    Cons

Lack of true collaboration and teaming
Unwillingness to listen to the 'experts' who perform the work every day
    Unrealistic expectations
Lack of training and onboarding to provide a wide and deep understanding of the product and product line, learn through trial and error

    Advice to Management

Actually be managers and leaders. That means providing support and direction to your teams not directives and chastisement because you made commitments without engaging the folks who would know best if those goals are achieveable. The organization is too small to not get insight and input from all your staff to make the best decision for a pathforward in planning, process, productivity and implementations. Great product but a lot of missing infrastructure that can't be built overnight .

    I worked at Q-MATIC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Could be good if Sweden figures out what is really going on and cleans house.

    Cons

Lead by narcissistic egomaniac bully with self esteem issues. Disgusting displays of kissing up by toadies. Most all of the good employees have left because of the leadership. Management is focused on stupid projects that bring no value or new sales. Has people posting fake positive reviews. You will not get much support and no help from marketing ever. Some departments have had a 100% turnover. Unhappy employees, unhappy customers and exceptionally bad management.

    Advice to Management

You really need to start over with the entire management team. Bring Swedish senior management back. Interview employees to get the real story as what needs to be done. The competition is laughing at you.

    I worked at Q-MATIC full-time

    Pros

There are no pros to working under a dictatorship , walking on eggshells, always waiting for the next shoe to drop. Sweden has to know it is time to shake up the Sr Management team from the top down. Knowing things aren't working and consistently not making monthly numbers means people aren't inspired and 2X will not happen in US until things are changed.

    Cons

Sr Management cannot be trusted. Promises broken and people not being held accountable is a shame.

    Advice to Management

Look deep inside your team. You know what is not working. Do something about it instead of letting people that bring value to your company keep leaving. Sweden should count how many people have left since 2016. That should tell you something about your management team who enable each other in destroying your company.

    I worked at Q-MATIC full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Some very talented, passionate people work very hard to deliver a good product and services to their clients.

    Cons

More work than the staff can handle; management sets impossible targets and beats up those that work very hard to deliver.

    Advice to Management

What may feel like motivating your staff to do better, is demoralizing because it cannot be attained. Increase resources and take a step back on the targets until that staff is up to speed and can be successful.

I have been working at Q-MATIC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I love working in an environment where there is always something new to learn everyday.

    Cons

Lack of Communication is one of the main factors for me. I like transparency especially when your ultimate goal is to grow with the company.

    Advice to Management

Always remember that we work for people not the company. Our day to interactions are with you, so treat your employees as you would someone to treat you, or a loved one in any given situation.

    Pros

New Management with fresh ideas. Listens to ideas and honest about company direction and what is expected.

    Cons

High production and fast paced. Hiring for open jobs not always fast enough. Need more people.

    Advice to Management

    You're on right path.

I worked at Q-MATIC (More than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers, travel, Swedish parent company has good values (does not translate to US), my immediate work environment is decent.

    Cons

Recently installed management does not listen to anything, there's been a big turnover. Lack of communication from the top down. People don't know what their jobs truly are. If boss isn't in the office, people don't show up and nothing gets done.

    Advice to Management

To the Swedish CEO, listen to the employees, really listen to them. The US management does not even understand the business let alone how to manage a group of people. The past year was spent with management spending company money to go give speeches instead of being PAID to give speeches. Management doesn't know the first thing about who our clients really are, how to keep our current clients happy or how to find new avenues of business. Dividing and conquering does not make for a good work atmosphere. You've already lost a lot of good players and you will continue to lose your people to your competitors if you stay on this path.

I worked at Q-MATIC (Less than a year)

    Pros

location, decent benefits, extremely intelligent engineers and developers in house

    Cons

The pay is not comparable to market value, many employees are over worked, not appreciated and significantly underpaid. There were SEVERAL lay-offs in 2015 and they just got another CEO. Executive level and management work you until you have nothing left to give, and they just let you go. The care nothing about your personal life, there is no work/life balance. They are very dishonest and most everyone is only out for themselves. Stay away!

    Advice to Management

Listen to your lower level employees, the ones who work 90 hours/week to keep your business in operation. They're smarter than you give them credit for.
