I worked at RCM Technologies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Enjoyed the work, people in my office were good at their jobs.

    Cons

Had to teach myself most things, little training/onboarding/employee development planning. Company has little regard for employees. When my project wasn't progressing as fast as anticipated due to external factors, they just called me in and said I was done the next day. A client had just told me I deserved a raise for the work I did for them. Had to spend a week documenting my job and training another employee (with more tenure and not enough work) to do my job. Absolutely no communications with anyone above my manager-- ever. Saw similar treatment of other employees resulting in low moral.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better and you'll get better employees.

    Pros

    EARN GREATER RECOGNITION FOR SUCCESSES

    Cons

disadvantage in small businesses is the lack of resources. There is rarely an R&D division, a legal department, an HR staff, or an IT department. Someone on staff, in addition to all his myriad other duties and responsibilities, has to wear those hats.
