Pros

Nice team, decent salary considering current job market.

Cons

Burnout is the norm, not the exception Unrealistic workloads and constant pressure to “do more with less” Toxic culture where overworking is praised and boundaries are ignored Lack of direction and constantly shifting priorities Declining morale across teams Increasing turnover, with experienced employees leaving or being let go last minute.

Talented people, shame about everything else

Pros

The team is genuinely great — supportive, sharp, and the kind of colleagues you'd follow somewhere better. Work-life balance is real, learning opportunities exist, and nobody's burning you out. A small miracle, considering the circumstances.

Cons

The company is doing that thing where it slowly falls apart while leadership holds all-hands meetings to explain why everything is fine. Runway is evaporating, layoffs keep happening in waves, and management's response is a rotating series of bold strategic pivots that somehow always point in a different direction. The culture that once made this place interesting is now mostly a memory people mention when reminiscing. It's a bit like watching a talented band play their hearts out on a sinking ship. The music is lovely. The ship, however, is sinking.

Start up doomed to fail

Pros

Fast paced, plenty of room for learning.

Cons

- Poor Risk and Compliance culture. Growth at all costs. Compliance seen as a blocker internally rather than a lever for competition and growth. - Strategic direction at the top is very poor. Compete on price even at a loss and copy features from competitors is the only visible plan. - Real Customer needs never understand or planned around. Throw things at a wall to see what sticks is the standard approach. - Resource poor. No one in the company is actually doing the job they are hired or skilled for, they are doing that job and 2-3 other peoples jobs who were let go and not backfilled meaning nothing is really getting done properly. Burnout is present across every function.
