I have been working at Red Mango part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You will be trained extensively to operate the store as an operable team member and even alone if needed.

    Cons

It's very easy to mess up this simple job. Customers could be rude; especially confused first timers.

    Advice to Management

Even if the days are slow, it should not be too strict on employees as the conditions are highly casual.

    Pros

The frozen yogurt was great, you get good discounts. Interacting with customers was great.

    Cons

Management really depends on the store you work at. The people I worked under were strict and liked to cut corners.

I worked at Red Mango part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The management Staff was good, especially the boss. The work environment was very playful and it was a great place to bring your friends to hangout even if you were on the job.

    Cons

The management staff was bad. They were never around much but still thought they knew the best ways for things to be run.

    Advice to Management

I would change the mangement style for the owners. You should let the store manager do his thing since he is there day to day and knows exactly how the store should be run.

  10. "Wouldn't recommend for a long-term job"

I worked at Red Mango part-time

    Pros

Shifts usually went by quickly. I was promoted after only 3 months of experience with the company. It was a fun environment to work in. I learned a lot about smoothie and juice making.

    Cons

Most employees quit within a few months. I was only there for about 7 months before I quit, but had been there the longest (aside from my manager). Manager rarely came in (as they were overseeing 3 or 4 stores at the time). The title "shift leader" was a gimmick which held the responsibilities of an assistant manager but with less pay.

    Advice to Management

When I worked for the company, our store was owned by franchise owners. It has since been sold back to corporate, so any comments I would have would be irrelevant.
