    I worked at Root full-time

    Pros

    Start Up Environment.
Created a niche in the strategy execution space with unique offerings.

    Cons

Struggling to answer the key questions on how to sustain competition, with regards to why/what/how to demonstrate digital capabilities, that are tightly integrated with non-digital offerings.

    Advice to Management

    Great work!
Start thinking big and question - why business growth has not been exponential rather incremental? Because you have been in the business for the last 25 years and maintaining a steady and slow growth..... something to think about!

I have been working at Root full-time

    Pros

Lots of opportunities to grow. The leaders are open to new ideas and care about their employees . They do important work for important companies in creative and new ways. As a consultant, every day is different; new challenges and new things to learn. The company is fair, open, honest, and flexible. (Provided their is not a client need)

    Cons

Very demanding on time and flexibility. As a very client focused company there are no hoops too high. If a client needs something, we deliver. Often at the expense of personal life and other commitments. Outside life is hard to manage when you don't have a solid schedule of when you will be traveling, or when extra time might be needed.

    Advice to Management

Continue to work on how to deal with work life balance.

I have been working at Root full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working with lots of different companies
    Evolving marketplace and offerings
Creative elements and working with concept artists
    Some of the people

    Cons

Traveling weekly and sometimes to multiple locations
Some functional areas were immature and not skilled enough to yield world-class offerings

    Advice to Management

Find opportunities for talent to own initiatives and be a strategic thought partner within in the organization

    "Greatest place to work. Period."

    Pros

-The company truly care about their employees.
-The company is unique - we have film makers, designers, learning designers, consultants, coders, artists, you name it.
-The work is engaging, and different.
-The company is on the cutting edge in terms of letting employees be themselves. They don't want things that shouldn't get in the way of work to get in the way of work (i.e. dress code, flextime, remote).
-Related to the above, the company treats employees like adults. Dress how you dress, but be smart about it. People are smart enough to not wear flip flops when a very formal company comes to visit.

    Cons

Really, if you've worked at any other company in THIS WORLD, you should not feel like there are any cons to Root.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing.
