I worked at SECURA full-time for less than a year

      Pros

-Great people -Great company culture, the best I've found in a company yet -Relatively small, so you get to know everyone quickly -Dave Gross, CEO, is a funny & charming fellow -new building on CB is slated to open soon, which looked super cool from the renderings -work-life balance was very well respected

      Cons

-hard-pressed for opportunities to move up, favorites are played -HR department has too much on their plate most of the time -certain family names/groups dominate departments, which extends Con #1 (they are all very sincere and caring though) -extremely low diversity

      Advice to Management

Keep it up, keep the CR under 95 or so, and expand into the new building effectively

I have been working at SECURA full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

      Positive work environment and culture.

      Cons

Management is younger and a lot of on the job learning, trial and error.

      Advice to Management

Get one claims software system. Three makes for more busy work.

I have been working at SECURA full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

Work/life balance, Profit Share, Fitness center, Continuous education

      Cons

Hard to move up. Prides themselves on promoting from within yet they first look at external candidates. Lose a lot of good talent because of this. Lack of communication when applying internally.

      Advice to Management

Take a strong look in the mirror with your values. Management is top heavy. Reward your good talent thats out working every one else or you'll continue to lose them. Always seem to be behind in work due to this

I have been working at SECURA full-time for more than 5 years

      Pros

Great place to work. Excellent benefits, competitive pay. Family friendly workplace with excellent work life balance. Very active in community and wellness oriented. Employees are treated well and are encouraged to develop and grow within the company.

      Cons

No real cons to report. The only think I could note here would be they could be more innovative in the technology department. They are aware of that as a shortcoming and work in that area is in progress.

      Advice to Management

Management is great. Continue to develop your employees and promote growth.
