    Pros

Great work environment with very professional, well knowledged staff. Privately owned organization with revenue diversity across waste water treatment, oil & gas, and paper industries as well as cosmetic applications.

    Cons

SNF is slowly advancing their supply chain capabilities to equal those of similar sized public companies. They are moving in the right direction for sure.

I have been working at SNF Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pros...honestly this company has been ok to me. I came in entry level and currently am at middle management level in under 4 years. Some have even done it sooner. The benefits are good, health, life, but dental could be better. Safety is a big concern here at the company.

    Cons

Cons...my schedule. Due to me being no longer under the union I am susceptible to a "Work whatever we schedule", work week. I have been on 12 hr days and stuck on night shift for the past month. I have no social life, I haven't seen my mom in over a month. Rare days off, I am simply tired.

    Advice to Management

Become more organized. Do not work the crap out of your employees. That's how they become bad employees.

I have been working at SNF Group (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent money with good training on how to make chemicals and being safe doing so. Alot of employees are eagerly to teach you.

    Cons

I hate to put negative comments but with this company I'm with snf chemtall and first that safety is a main concern and that I've seen major incidents get swept under the rug depending on who it is. Second is the schedules that change daily, planning for a vacation is hard with that. The union is basically a management ranso any complaints from workers get no investigation.

    Advice to Management

Work on management training with your production managers to area managers. Overall many of your employees will stay but with inconsistency coming from those mangers creates your high attrition rate.

I worked at SNF Group (More than a year)

    Pros

A lot of good people work here. The Savannah area has a high quality of life.

    Cons

Turnover turnover turnover. A strong resistance to anything that is new. Dysfunctional people in positions of authority.

    Advice to Management

Work together as a TEAM, not in self created castles. The future will continue , even though you fight it. If people are you biggest asset (as you claim), treat them as such and invest in them.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at SNF Group (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very good place to work if you have a degree in chemical engineer, engineer, chemist or a safety coordinator.

    Cons

Very low wages for a chemical manufacturing facility due to lack of industrial competition in the area. We have a Union that really lacking leadership due to the fact that the union president is actually just another company employee. Leadership here thinks that all accidents are done with bad intentions not the fact that most machines and pumps in this facility is outdated.

    Advice to Management

Replace the old equipments and lighten up a little, not everyone wakes up at 3am and go to work just to sabotage their facility.

I have been working at SNF Group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

This company has grown every year for the past 15 I've worked for them. There are plenty of opportunities to move up and make a career here.

    Cons

New site here in Louisiana and there have been some frustrations getting the infrastructure set up. They also need to have contracted cleaning crews to allow production to focus on making product.
