I have been working at SNF Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    decent benefits and easy work

    Cons

no room for advancement. no development. companies near by pay better and have better bonuses. constant smell of chemicals (they say it's safe). VERY poor management. layoff without warning. cannot get anywhere unless you're at the very top or French

    Advice to Management

hire better supervisors and managers; pay according to surrounding companies; develop employees so they actually want to stay not everyone leaves simply because of pay

I have been working at SNF Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

They will hire any body, pay is decent

    Cons

no payoff for hard work or good job performance so don't plan on moving up, promotions based off of seniority and nothing else, Union is a joke, Southern swing shift (6 1/2 days off in a 28 day rotation, constantly changing schedule, no clear goals.

    Advice to Management

Start by giving a damn about your employees such as giving them a stable schedule and time off when things slow down, not working more shorter days (probably would decrease turnover which is pretty bad right now), or hell just pretend to care

I have been working at SNF Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They have good benefits including healthcare and insurance. They provide many supplies as well including 150$ worth of shoes from a boot truck. Opportunities to learn about the chemistry behind the job.

    Cons

Rotating schedule. Huge turnover. Not many opportunities for promotions. Lots of drama and gossip.

    Advice to Management

Focus on work ethic from a person rather than their personalities and drama that revolves around them

    Pros

They have promotions from within. Keep working hard.
Great place to build your resume.
Always room for overtime, make your money
Decent benefits. 401k is on par with other good companies.

    Cons

Hard work is not always recognized.
A sense of favoritism, people who continuously "mess" up are not dealt with, instead moved to made up jobs...

    Advice to Management

Remove the blatant favoritism. Attack issues at the root. Look to the operators for
some guidance, they know the plant/process better than anyone.
