I worked at Sandvik (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Worked 5 years, full time.
Co workers are very friendly and easy to get along with.
Nice building. Has large cafeteria with good food.

    Cons

Management plays favoritism. Will fire someone without giving opportunity for workers to correct anything. Reasons for termination have no bearing. Workers are fired to make room for management's friends/family.

    Advice to Management

Value your workers. Give them opportunities to advance. If workers are not performing correctly let them know and give ample time for them to correct themselves. Do not be so quick to fire.

I worked at Sandvik full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Nice new building and cafeteria

    Cons

Americas GMR quit the company but never left- if you catch my drift. Company does not honor its values, and is in a downward spiral. Lost business and revenue means environment is dog eat dog and senior leadership is LAZY, uninspiring and indifferent to success or failuere just going through the motions. No personal development and endless re-org.

    Advice to Management

Pretend that you still care, at least for the employees.

I have been working at Sandvik full-time

    Pros

    None at all, whatsoever. Period.

    Cons

You will have zero quality of life. You will be punished for everything. Anything that they offer, you can find at ten other companies. DO NOT WORK HERE! Move on. If you read anything positive about working here, that paid someone to post it.

    Advice to Management

Nothing posted here will matter. Just keep doing what you're doing, until the location is closed.

I worked at Sandvik full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Sandvik products are the best in the industry. The job paid well and offered many benefits such as company car, PTO, and strong health package.

    Cons

Middle management was weak. Cherry picking of accounts by senior sales reps left newer, more experienced reps with very small accounts.
