Easily the worst professional experience of my career.
There were huge red flags in the interview process around their development and management practices, I foolishly thought it wouldn't be that bad and that the product being as technically complex as it is was worth the risk for my professional growth.
I was wrong.
From the get go, it was just an absolute circus. Everyone is clearly overworked and stressed, you can literally feel it in the air.
Manipulative comments from managers in order to try and entice you to "work hard and prove yourself".
Shifting requirements on a daily basis, or just conflicting sources of truth repeatedly on nearly every task.
Horrific or complete lack of communication between departments.
Employees being unreachable for entire days, compounding blockers, compounding unreasonable deadlines, compounding stress.
An expectation to work serious overtime repeatedly to meet unrealistic deadlines, further compounded by the constant stream of incorrect and changing requirements.
Toxic employees, I've never worked somewhere where there were so many horrible and passive aggressive comments being made, but equally given the stress and pressure everyone is under I'm also not surprised.
If you've ever watched any satire YouTube video around bad development and management practices, this company is the literal embodiment of that.
