I worked at Sectra full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The people are amazing who work on the ground.

    Cons

North American CEO has not a clue what we do and is very fragile

    Advice to Management

Americanize your management, and match it to your skill set

    Pros

Good/smart people. Good salaries. Company culture is very strong and they really value their people.

    Cons

A bit limited in career opportunities. Not growing anymore in the USA market, which means a somewhat unpredictable future for USA based employees.

  3. "Service"

    Pros

The people are great. Very smart people. Works well together.

    Cons

Unfortunately with current NA leadership, people will see them sold in 2-3 years in NA.

    Advice to Management

Train your people so they can learn. Stop blaming everyone else for your own insecurities. Don't micro manage service and people, just manage. The company in Sweden says Best people and they believe it, but NA president does not act like he even cares about people. Conflict of messages.

I worked at Sectra full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Autonomous: It's nice to be independent without micro-managing managers.
    Good co-workers: Mostly good-hearted and hard-working people.
Nice working environment: Clean and tidy.

    Cons

    Bad management: Reasons below.
Bad culture: A lot of department rivalry instead of comradery, especially among seniors.
Huge work-load: Not enough people - skeleton crew.

    Positive Outlook
    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Sectra full-time

    Pros

Flat organization with huge possibilities to advance quickly
Intelligent management with good grip of strategy
    Smart and ambitious co-workers
Growing business (albeit not fast enough according to management) with good profit

    Cons

Engineering driven company - a huge upside when they get the products to the customer.
Founders are still in leading position
Somewhat cheap in terms of compensation

    Advice to Management

Step on it - there is plenty of content to sell in this company.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

    Very strong product
Great staff of support and sales people
    commitment to customers

    Cons

    inconsistent direction from management
make changes too often without allowing time to fully develop
too often a lack of internal resources

    Advice to Management

let a process work for longer than a few months. make a 2 year plan and hold to it; changing territories, product bundles and customers leads to massive customer confusion and will hurt with retention.
