Pros

Good products. Remote work. Talented employees.

Cons

High Turnover. They offer unlimited PTO, but workloads are so heavy it’s almost impossible to find any time you can take off. Most Start-ups who implement an unlimited PTO plan know most employees will be afraid to take too much time off, and they won’t have to pay pto money out upon termination. If you find work life balance here, you won’t find it in the sales department. Software stack is largely unintegrated which requires duplicate efforts. The environment is sink or swim, highly stressful, and unrewarding. Salary isn't great but not terrible, and no 401k match.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and experience at Sense. We aim to have a flexible PTO program and company closure 'Wellness Days' to counter any levels of stress that come with a high-growth and environment. At Sense we value the well being of the team with remote work, flexible schedules, and ability to work on a timeline that suits your home life too. We are evaluating new hiring assessment tools as well as making the interview process more streamlined. I have shared your feedback with our leadership team and am open to additional context as well if you'd like to reach out.

Company needs direction

Pros

Competitive pay, unlimited PTO we're encouraged to use, great flexibility.

Cons

Upper leadership and management are way too involved in everything - too many cooks in the kitchen at all times. It seems like every small decision made for a customer requires multiple internal calls with 8+ people. Likewise, most in leadership positions don't know how to lead and don't seem to be given the tools to learn. Overall culture where every department is overly focused on the bottom dollar instead of solving real problems and doing what is right for customers. Complete lack of clear direction of product and company - again, leadership doesn't know how to lead companies through growth. Product constantly changes based on what the company guesses is needed, instead of what customers actually need.

Be careful before considering working at Sense

Pros

Teammates, managers, work life balance

Cons

As mentioned in the previous review turnover seems to be a norm at sense. If you dont come in on day 1 already exceeding quota you will more than likely already have a target on your back and already be considered for the chopping block. Dont believe management when they say they are a growing company... they are trending the opposite way. They have no problem letting you go in a very short time without notice.. even as short as 30 days.
