I worked at Septa full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Pay but money isn't everything in life if your ruining your body and health for it.

    Cons

Work conditions and Hours are horrendous. If you have any dreams of moving up with your ideas for a better company forget they believe 1000% in Nepotism. They want robots they can control in supervisor or management positions no matter how many years of experience you might have had before joining Septa. Personally if you enjoy life look elsewhere and keep your sanity. I wasted 17 years before I saw the light don't make the same mistake I did.

    Advice to Management

Doesn't matter what advice you have. Whatever you give them they use and take credit for so watch who you trust with your info.

    Pros

    Pay and Benefits are great

    Cons

Being on the Slate for 2 years stinks, you never know when you are working until that day....can not make any plans in your life for at least 2 years.

    Advice to Management

slate drivers should be 2 weeks day, 2 weeks night and just keep alternating. Sleep schedule and home life suck while on the slate since you could be working till 3 pm and back in a midnight ...that is wrong
