I worked at ServicePower (More than a year)

    Pros

    Salary, Telecommuting, CEO Marne Martin

    Cons

This company has no sense of teamwork, everyone works in a silo, Senior and Executive Leadership choices to ignore the inability to keep customer satisfaction. Most ServicePower clients do not trust the company's recommendations from their consultants and the development team only develop functionality that "they" think would be benefiical in their minds and then charge clients for standard out of the box functionality, but then spend all development time and resources to gain new clients but postpone existing clients SoWs to their determent.

    Advice to Management

Your company is only ~130 people globally, why is it so hard to get everyone on the same page, which is painful and frustrating to your customers.

    Pros

Decent pay, ability to work from home, a majority of the employees are enjoyable to work with

    Cons

Poor management and a very unorganized company. They need to take the time to fix their problems so they can stop being behind on everything they do.

I have been working at ServicePower full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Growth Oriented Business
    - Eager to seek out new opportunities and invest in future development
    - Recent move to private ownership has lead to higher investment in development teams, infrastructure, and other core parts of the business
    - Eagerness to engage within the management team, honestly interested in welfare of the employees

    Cons

    - Being growth oriented can be hard for people who have been around a while who see change as bad
    - Can be hyper high paced at times
    - Consistently being asked to perhaps do things that are a bit risky from a dev point of view, trying new things( this could easily be a pro but some of the more tenured folks see it as a con)

    Advice to Management

Perhaps consider more frequent management "fireside chats" to keep people up to speed on the latest

I have been working at ServicePower full-time

    Pros

Genuinely good people within the delivery and other teams, incredibly good core product on the scheduling side.

    Cons

Lack of focus on the software. Management need to make some serious decisions about the products and carry these through delivery.

    Advice to Management

Create a simple strategy and execute against that, don't just flip flop based on latest deal or market trend.
