I have been working at Sightpath Medical full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

A decade+ on the job and I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I'm prior military and all to used to long days, fast pace, and travel. Sightpath matched all of that for me but instead of defending lives, I started saving eyes. And there is nothing better than finishing your day and receiving a hug from a crying Lasik patient that didn't think it was possible that she would be able to see so well or knowing that you've changed the quality of life for the cataract case you just completed. People see better after I do my job! That satisfaction feeds my pride and I can't find that anywhere else.

    Cons

Cons for me are hard to come by. I like the dynamic schedule, different locations, varying customers, and remote operation. If there is a site or customer I don't like, I only work with them a day out of the month. I'm there enough that the site becomes familiar with me but doesn't treat or mistreat me like I'm a normal employee. Otherwise, I'd like to see more employees stay beyond what seems like a normal three-year cycle of coming on board and departing for other types of work or a regular office 9 to 5 cubicle...ugh....

    Advice to Management

I'd like to see some tuition assistance included into the benefits. Its an item that you can't find at many jobs and it would be amazing if that was a cherry topper here. And of course, more retirement investment. More is always better.

I have been working at Sightpath Medical full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Self reliant atmosphere. No constant over the shoulder boss.

    Cons

Management does not communicate to the field as they should. Not enough oversight of management itself. Some are not who they want to appear to be. Very fake. VERY underpaid!
Some days are 16 hours! Then back at 6 am to start again.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to treat the field people with more respect. They are the ones in the trenches day to day.

I have been working at Sightpath Medical full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I have had a great experience with Sigthpath Medical over the last few years. I enjoy the people I work with and get the opportunity to wear many hats throughout the company. The Senior Management I work under has always been supportive and has helped guide me in my career. I could not ask for a better boss! I have referred a few people to the company that have also enjoyed their positions in different departments.

    Cons

Communication can be difficult at times due to having employees across the country. We are still able to build relationships with people in the field but would be nice to see them more often.
