Pros

Working remotely. That's about it.

Cons

I was an employee of one of the companies that was acquired by Sign In Solutions. I adored working for our little start up before the acquisition. Once we were officially acquired, our culture changed drastically for the worse and soon after, they laid off over half of the company so that our product could be an add-on feature for another one of the company's products. This is separate to how the acquisition company jacked up the prices over 200% for loyal customers who had used our product for years, but what else do you get when you are backed by Private Equity bloodsuckers? The company loves to send select employees (re: Sales and Management -- zero low-ranking employees) on the lavish annual company retreat to tropical locales (Bahamas, Puerto Rico, etc.) but still can't afford annual raises.  One of the final straws for me was when they removed the "Work/Life" balance tenet from SIS's core values. In the same breath, they also announced there would be no raises until AT LEAST Q4 (we were currently in January). Additionally, there is rampant toxic corporate language about "wearing multiple hats," AKA "you're going to be doing the jobs of all the essential people we laid off but for one meager salary". The company also mandates that employees who are NOT adjacent to Marketing come up with Marketing ideas (without pay) when they could have just not laid off their Marketing Teams to begin with?  The very wealthy CEO especially is particularly awful and is notorious for openly and brazenly bragging about his new boat(s) while also taking CEO Roundtable calls (implemented to address his employee's concerns) from restaurants/country clubs with bad internet connections so that he doesn't have to actually answer these questions. Ironically, the CEO is also a big proponent for returning to the office, even for employees who were hired to work 100% remotely, yet he does not adhere to these standards himself. He has also made extremely disappointing comments about his disdain for DEI initiatives. Last, he absolutely loves to talk about how he "doesn't want employees who are only here for the money". Ummmm, ok bro why else do you think people work at all? Dude is seriously so far removed from the reality of the current times, it's incredibly embarrassing but this is who is leading the company. Cringe. Please don't work for this company unless you love good ol' American Corporate Greed.

Pros

People are great and the products are too. They are trying to wear their big-boy-pants, they really are, but the company is strapped for resources. I do think they mean it when they say assume best intent, but I think recent layoffs while replacing with less experienced people shows otherwise. Health benefits are good Work/life balance is good for most - unless you're the only SME of something.....

Cons

There are sadly so many. Since the acquisition, things have really gone down the drain. The C-suite has turned over except for a few, but the damage is done. A white guys who likes to play with boats and brag about money and his success. The culture has gone down the drain

Pros

Great co-workers always read to help, supportive management. Great camaraderie in between the different teams - looking out for one another.

Cons

Things took an ugly turn after the acquisition. Pathetic C-suite leadership. It feels as if a bunch of obnoxious leaders (read investors) who have zero idea about corporate culture or workplace etiquettes were handed the baton to run the company. They care a damn about employees and only operate with the selfish intent of getting higher returns for their investment. Employee wellbeing is thrown to the wind, stressful and hostile 'taskmaster' atmosphere. Please stay away!
