Pros

I worked at Sinclair for over 4 years and thought the pay, bonuses, and culture were better than most companies. Bill Hallier was the CEO and was personable, as were most senior managers. Like most organizations not all ideas were implemented but they were heard. I was left to manage my area of responsibility without too much input from senior leadership. I do not know what has happened but I hope Sinclair can turn it around. There are a lot of negative reviews so there is something different. I have nothing but fond memories of Sinclair and hope those employed there care enough to speak up and senior leadership listen actively.

Cons

Travel became too much for my life/work balance. I wish all agreements were better documented before I left to support those that trusted me. Transparency could have been better as some projects were undertaken without disclosure of why. In some cases, the outcomes were known but testing was conducted regardless.

Thanks for asking. Amazing things are happening at Sinclair. Honesty, Openness and Trust are values we practice every day with our team, customers and community. Recently, our Field Service Team had a fantastic retreat in Fresno. The team from all around North America came onsite for a week of training and team building, culminating in some fierce go kart competition between the guys. None. Other than I got out of there

Arrogant management. The management team is somewhat of a "good ole boys" club where HR is there to protect them and is not at all objective. The office environment there is comatose to the point of depressing. Almost everyone that I knew there wanted to leave and most left. The people who tend to stay there long term dont have a choice because no one else will have them. Most of these "bottom feeders" end up in management. The engineering group was a total joke as was marketing. Every new product that they developed was a flop. iQ. VPS. HLS. The list goes on and on. The current management regime are a bunch of flunkies from POM Wonderful. Literally they were all fired from POM and got management jobs at Sinclair. Do not work here unless you have no other options.
