I appreciate your willingness to share your personal experience. Our goal is to create an environment where all of our team members feel challenged and can thrive. It's helpful to know where we have opportunities to improve. The good news is that we have a lot of activity happening around our business and are realigning around our new mission. This has exciting implications for our technology and we are looking forward to seeing it through. In the meantime, I hope you know that our team is available to discuss specific concerns any time. Having the conversation allows us to dig in to more specifics and helps us to be able to build out meaningful solutions and really make an impact.

Legacy Company Slowly Fading

Pros

* Influx of cash from GI Partners. * Spending money on the typical Marketing, Culture, and company fluff which can lead to good positions on anything non-product related

Cons

* Huge disconnect between management and employee; despite promise of flat and transparent organization structure * Acquisition hungry to satisfy board; however, no competency to perform any meaningful integration/acquisition and as result acquired companies/technologies are silo'd or phased out. * Product is awful - Combination of internal + external functionality (no customer's use product it's so bad) * Unqualified leaders in tech department - No CTO or any tech/cloud/infra/dev leaders that understand enterprise technology * Typical bureaucracies that are traditionally seen in larger companies (> 2000) exist at much smaller levels (~500 ppl)

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am sorry to hear that your experience at Single Digits has not met your expectations. With the recent revamping of our mission, vision and core values and the launch of the Connected Life Experience, we believe we will take our product to new levels and be able to create new and exciting opportunities for our team members as a result. I hear your concerns about the disconnect between management and employees and will share this back with our leadership team. While this feedback is helpful, it does not give us an opportunity to really dig in and explore the specific scenarios that have made you feel this way. I hope you know that our HR team is always available to discuss concerns and explore solutions together.

Pros

There are no pros to discuss.

Cons

Top level execs have zero vision for this company. Very visible it has been stagnant and there’s a stubborn resistance to change or evolution of their “suite” of products. Employees have zero path for progression or advancement, no internal training program and managers are ok with mediocrely trained subordinates working the same positions for years.
