Free tea & coffee, although that might be going soon to save the company money. Porters are friendly. Night rate 30% enhancement which may be reduced or stopped altogether to save more money. One free small Easter egg each year.
Manager's ok but lost respect for him when he allowed his favourite to sleep half the shift. Continual cutbacks affect staff moral. The lengths the company go to in order to save money are surprising considering the place is for private as well as NHS patients. Often use 2nd hand or 3rd hand equipment which fail or fall apart or just not suitable. Cut back on staff then end up using agency costing more. Very poor communication.
Advice to Management
Have you noticed the high staff turnover? Improve communication (that doesn't mean send even more emails). Hard working staff could do with just a little praise every now and again. Consider re-introducing the staff bonus scheme for achieving annual targets.
