I worked at Springwoods Behavioral Health full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Nursing staff is great to work with, and the facility is in a great centralized location.

    Cons

Hours constantly being cut making it hard to earn a decent living. Employees training for personnel who do not stay for more then 1-2 months.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees well, keep the hours reasonable (no cutting hours to the point employees have to find second jobs).

I have been working at Springwoods Behavioral Health

    Pros

You can meet lovely people and help those in crisis. There is nothing better than knowing that you helped someone at their lowest.

    Cons

If certain promises were made to you, get them in writing and signed.

    Advice to Management

If you are a head of a department and don't have experience in the jobs you are heading, make sure to take the time to learn the ins and outs. That way when you give criticism, it can be constructive.

I worked at Springwoods Behavioral Health full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Helping patients in crisis

    Cons

The regional administration placed no value on a provider's quality of care, patient relations, staff relations, and outstanding patient outcomes. When the consensus declined after hiring too many providers while the consensus was high, they did not hesitant to lay you off immediately escorting you out the door.

    Advice to Management

Don't lay off staff who are passionate in their care while also successful, skilled, and compassionate towards their patients.

    Pros

There are some dedicated employees who want to help patients.

    Cons

Hospital is having financial problems, so hours are cut back, salaries are cut, you use your PTO time unvoluntarily, nursing mgt is horrible.

    Advice to Management

Needs a clean out of nursing mgt and the acting CEO
