Pros

Startup perks like stocked kitchen, unlimited PTO and every day is different

Cons

Culture is one of "compliance" where you're expected to blindly follow anything that leadership tells you to do. Dissenting opinions will quickly get you classified as "not a team player" and you will quickly lose the opportunity to work on anything of value. Leadership will interpret feedback the way that best suits them and isn't open to hearing anything that might contradict what they already believe. Top Heavy leadership with a Sr. Director or Director for every department without enough middle management leaders or workers to execute the actual work. A lot of nepotism when it comes to hiring Directors, Sr. Directors and C-Suite. C-Suite is filled with people too incompetent to make the right business decisions and too arrogant to listen to the talent around them. Meetings never start or end on time. This is the culture that's been established regardless of the time management seminar that everyone is expected to take. HR emails are very aggressive in tone.

We take all feedback seriously and yours will be passed on to our leadership. The truth is that being a part of a rapidly growing company that is young and still building infrastructure is not for everyone. Hiring senior leaders for each area who have the ability to grow the business function as we rapidly expand is part of our strategy. We are continually developing and preparing others to move into the middle management roles. So while we have gaps, it is part of our strategy and value proposition that we realize causes some short term pain. With regard to nepotism among the top leaders, it appears you have been misinformed. None of our top leaders (Director and above) are related to each other. We actually have a policy in place to ensure this.

Pros

- Work with emerging technology in a largely untapped market niche. - Products have a real impact on people's lives. - Decent bonus opportunity with very subjective criteria (which for now tends to work in your favor). - Health insurance costs are going down as the company grows. - If you are early career and want to just do what you're told, this is a great place to work. - Decent work/life balance and opportunities to work remotely depending on role.

Cons

- No 401k match - No real strategic leadership or direction. Senior executives are too preoccupied involving themselves in every single decision at the lowest level. We sprint, but in a zig zag pattern that goes in a circle. - The culture is toxic and focused on compliance. - Executive management, particularly the C suite, is arrogant and dismissive. They do not like to be challenged and will never admit they were wrong--even though data and time often prove they were. - Decisions are made unilaterally in spite of available data, but when it doesn't work out executive management finds someone else to blame all while claiming to be "solution oriented." - Executives parrot what you'd find in a management textbook (take a look at the responses to reviews on here) but don't practice what they preach. - If you are interested in autonomy and the ability to have impact and influence, it may be tough to find it here.

We are very sorry that this was your perception, We have many processes in place that encourage work - life alignment including unlimited vacation so we are really not sure how this could have happened.
