      Pros

      - while emphasize is on sourcing - the experience is well rounded - and its a great role to learn about investing, business models and insight in to what makes great companies great - great culture - very smart people - everyone is committed to having the analysts succeed - focus on really interesting investment themes - very entrepreneurial - analyst program is viewed as strategic - lots responsibility very fast - senior team looks for people on the analysts teams input on everything from investing to firm events

      - while the culture is great it is competitive - senior people want work not only completed correctly but also very quickly which can mean late nights...

      Pros

      Very relaxed, down-to-earth culture. Dogs in the office, and the job is easy and doesn't require much intellectual horsepower. You get exposed to "venture" or growth equity investing, which seems like a buy-side job, but without any training.

      Cons

      As an analyst, you are a glorified salesperson. You just cold call (after a cold email) a bunch of companies to hit weekly metrics. Pay is subpar, and it falls into bottom quartile of banks. Go work for a better firm.
