    Pros

Synactive has treated me great and given me opportunities to learn and flexibility to grow. The company is driven by self motivator and good people. The CEO is very energetic and is the driving force. He listens to the employees and encouraged innovativeness. This place is oasis for programmers/developers with mentorship provided by experts. If you are craving to get your hands on different platforms including iOS, Android, Web and more, this is the place. Fun environment and you will always be learning something new.

    Benefit Package can be improved.

I worked at Synactive full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Good work-life balance.
    -Good location and parking.
-Management works very hard with the resources (or lack thereof) given to them by the CEO, to meet expectations and needs.

    Cons

-CEO is very unprofessional and does not know how to nurture employees. He constantly screams, and at times, verbally abuse his subordinates.
-Internet feels like dial-up speed. Constantly freezes and makes it difficult for all employees to stay productive.
-The computers are 12-15 year old IBM Thinkpads. They are very slow and are obviously not designed for what the company is requiring their employees to do.
-The entire company is ran on spreadsheets. There is no set ERP system to manage the company in an efficient manner.
-Salary, PTO, and benefits are below average.

    Advice to Management

    -Please respect employees.
-CEO must allow budget to invest in better infrastructure if the company wants to have better products, and to be respected.
-Find an ERP solution to better manage operations.

I have been working at Synactive full-time

    Pros

Great team. It's a small company, so everybody knows everybody. There is plenty of room to make your own mark and take control of your area of expertise. There is also room to grow within the company - they frequently promote from within. And there is lots of scope to lead changes and champion projects. The environment is very focused on work, but there are opportunities for fun as well.

    Cons

Inter-department communication is not always the best. The CEO is himself an engineer so if you're a developer, be ready for plenty of strong criticism. Salaries and benefits are somewhat low compared to market standard, although the company has been improving benefits. Equipment and infrastructure are frankly sub-standard.

    Advice to Management

Stop being penny-wise and pound foolish. Get better equipment and infrastructure. Work on making communications better and share information equally to everyone.

    Pros

The owner and management team have grown the business with a steady pace.
They are consistently mindful of the business decisions and how to stay the course and grow the organization. There have been several changes over the last year that is helping drive employee satisfaction, sales and corporate branding.

The company took steps to put processes in place that make it feel more grown up. In addition to the relaxed work environment, they have good benefits; including health, dental, vision, life & disability and 401(k). They also have some perks like laundry service, fresh fruit and generous vacation and leave policies. If you value that kind of stuff then they offer it.

Within a very short time of working here you’ll know everyone by first name and you’re likely to run into the owner/CEO walking down the hall or chatting in the foyer. Managers are approachable and welcome new ideas. Employees have the independence to do great work if they put in the effort.

    Cons

Transparency and communication has improved greatly and will continue to get better if everyone stays the course. Communication within your immediate department or team is good however, communication between departments could be better.

    Advice to Management

Continue to evolve, reward and recognize those employees that prove their worth!
Focus and invest in innovation and solutions that drive sales. Map everyone's bonus to company's success. Continue to communicate, the monthly all employee meetings have made a big impact.
