I worked at Sysmex America full-time

      Pros

Generally good people. Good pay and benefits. Free drinks and good amenities.

      Cons

Opinions can be seen as a direct challenge. Favoritism runs rampant. The rules don't apply equally to everyone. A lot of backstabbing. Non-appreciative. Very clicky culture. You can do well but not be liked on a personal level and be considered not performing to expectations or well liked but not meeting goals and be considered working above expectations.

      Advice to Management

I worked at Sysmex America full-time for more than 9 years

      Pros

The culture strives to be about the people and work life balance. It is largely dependent upon the manager you work with whether or not this would be true.

      Cons

Focus is on interpersonal skills with very little tolerance for cultural difference or diversity. If you can put on a front and hold it you will do well. If you cannot they will ruthlessly weed you out of the company.

      Advice to Management

Focus on the people at the lowest levels of management with respect for diversity. Upper level management need to trust the lower level managers to protect the culture. The culture falls apart at management level.

      Pros

Overall package is very generous but comes at a price

      Cons

Management will turn on employees to shield themselves and HR will allow it.

      Advice to Management

Sometimes the real issue is the leadership. Leadership is not about being in charge, it’s about taking care of those in your charge

      Pros

Still possess that small company feel but growing rapidly. Lots of growth which leads to opportunity.

      Cons

Operates too lean. Creates stressful environment with very little work life balance if you want to stay on top of things.

      Advice to Management
