I have been working at Sysmex America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I am a recent new hire and I have had an exceptional experience at Sysmex so far. The culture is so welcoming and all employees ensure you feel that you are joining the "Sysmex Family". During new hire orientation the CEO, Ralph Taylor, took time to meet and greet all of the new hires. He spoke to us about our backgrounds and shared his background and journey within Sysmex. I have never been part of an organization where I have felt so welcomed from the start. I have truly made the best decision by coming to Sysmex and look forward to my career at this organization.

    Cons

None to share currently, my experience has been wonderful so far.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work in encouraging all employees to embrace the Sysmex Way! When I walk around the building, all employees are smiling and enthused, which I have never seen before.

    Pros

Great lower/ middle management team. People care

    Cons

Don't treat people the same across departments. Upper management are bullies HR department is not supportive of management. Let the inmates run the asylum

    Advice to Management

Wake up. Come down from your ivory towers, recognize great performers and weed out poor performers don't just hide them. Demand the same high level performance from ALL departments

    Pros

Company is growing really fast and they can barely keep up with the demand. They are well respected and treat employees with fairness overall

    Cons

Growing pains. The fast growth can sometimes leave the company without proper resources for the employees to give customer all they can. Eventually Sysmex will catch up, but currently it can leave you overwhelmed.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, stay with the game that got us to the top in the first place.

I have been working at Sysmex America full-time

    Pros

The benefits are nice, free beverages, cafeteria, gym, fitness classes

    Cons

The management is horrible. They continuously bring you down for the smallest things. If you have questions, they will sometimes turn you away. I feel like I cannot ask questions sometimes. They don't appreciate hard work sometimes. The training isn't that great.

I worked at Sysmex America full-time

    Pros

Strong company growth potential and good product portfolio with lots of positive market reviews

    Cons

Ability to move up in the company is limited to people willing to move in-house. This is normal in any company, but Sysmex has a very large distributed field workforce relative to the overall number of employees. Therefore they overlook a lot of their best talent and continue to rely on some of their mediocre in-house people. Get in-house and you can really shine.

    Pros

Great place to work. The processes in place makes doing your job a breeze. I will be around until they kick me out!

    Cons

Management needs to listen to the inputs if their subordinates.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to listen to the inputs if their subordinates. Sometimes we know what we're talking about. So many times our voices land on deaf ears.

I have been working at Sysmex America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Products have good reputation. Office location is good. Can stay out of trouble if you lay low. Compensation average for most jobs. Above average for sales

    Cons

Execs have no idea what is going on and fight to protect their turf. Next level is yes-men and airheads. Sales makes a load of money and will cheat to get it. Cafeteria is gross. Keep temps and contractors around forever to avoid paying benefits. Don't tell truth on survey --- they know who you are.

    Advice to Management

Get your head out of the sand. The world is changing.

    Pros

The people are intelligent, dedicated and very team focused. Very supportive atmosphere. More than adequate support and resources consistently made available.

    Cons

Can be difficult to assimilate without a Med Tech background but it is doable. Busy schedules can make orientation shorter than desirable.

    Advice to Management

Allow for more employee feedback throughout the year instead of via annual surveys.
