I have been working at Sysmex America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I am a recent new hire and I have had an exceptional experience at Sysmex so far. The culture is so welcoming and all employees ensure you feel that you are joining the "Sysmex Family". During new hire orientation the CEO, Ralph Taylor, took time to meet and greet all of the new hires. He spoke to us about our backgrounds and shared his background and journey within Sysmex. I have never been part of an organization where I have felt so welcomed from the start. I have truly made the best decision by coming to Sysmex and look forward to my career at this organization.

    Cons

None to share currently, my experience has been wonderful so far.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work in encouraging all employees to embrace the Sysmex Way! When I walk around the building, all employees are smiling and enthused, which I have never seen before.

    Pros

    You are getting a paycheck

    Cons

Upper management was battling for the role of the next CEO and had zero concern for the damage it was causing the business
Morale was at an all time low
    Be a soldier or else
Threw money at people to keep them from leaving - very short-lived strategy!

    Advice to Management

None - they won't listen. Why bother with engagement surveys if corrections will be thrown back at the employees? And no, these aren't anonymous, despite what you are being told.

    Pros

Pay is above average but doesn't make up for the cons

    Cons

If you expect to have a life and spend your above average money...forget about it. You live there with all that o.t. you'll never see your family. No work life balance at all

    Advice to Management

    Why? They don't listen

I have been working at Sysmex America full-time

    Pros

there is a lot of interesting work

    Cons

Everyone is afraid of senior management. Even our managers are not able to protect us from constant abuse that is coming from up above. HR is aware, but is also too afraid to do anything about it.

    Advice to Management

If people are your biggest asset, have a little bit of respect for us - the low-level folks. And trust those under you. You hired them, so let them do their job. You micromanage them, and than they micromanage us.

I have been working at Sysmex America full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Pay and benefits are above average, on site cafeteria is decent.

    Cons

Abusive and micromanaging. If you choose to work here, document everything as gaslighting and constantly changing goals are common. Most of the good people here have been forced out the door, including almost all management that had the strength to stand up to the executive staff for their employees. Quite a bit of "reorganizing" in recent years. The pay and benefits are high mainly to make it harder to leave on your own terms. This once was an incredible place to work, but has constantly been getting worse following some executive changes a few years ago. Make sure you look at review dates when considering this place.

    Advice to Management

Management knows what's wrong, but these were intentional decisions they have no interest in changing. Return to the Sysmex Way, get rid of the micromanaging executives. Trust your employees and stop trying to question and monitor every minute of their lives. Begin thinking of them as assets again and not headcount you'd like to cut in order to increase profit margins.

    Pros

Great product and good customers. Benefits and pay are above average

    Cons

Management is absolutely awful and are only out for themselves. Silos between departments to the point where there is a complete lack of process. The "culture" that they are so proud of no longer exists.

I worked at Sysmex America (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Depending who you report to will define your experience. Some very strong leaders who will develop you. Some very weak ones as well.

    Cons

So much change that it appears Sysmex is losing key talent.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your people and ensure adherence to the Sysmex Way
