I worked at TMS Health (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent benefits and a fair wage, in the right program.

    Cons

Poor management, low ethical standards in management team.

    Advice to Management

Stop constantly switching commission structures in order to line your pockets, try promoting the best qualified candidate instead of personal favorites.

I worked at TMS Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working with others, co-workers help out or give advice

    Cons

Stressful call volume even being inbound. There is alot of pressure meeting metrics with very little resources. Pay is not good even dealing with moody customers.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to make employees aware of promos before customers know. Adjust the metrics for employees.

    Pros

They had a great training program. It was very detailed and allowed you to understand the product you were supporting. Office was very professional

    Cons

Computer system used to track call and results could have been better. I believe it was an in house system.

    Advice to Management

Continue to look for good companies to partner with and look at investing more into your CRM systems to make it easier for the CSR to do their job

    Pros

Incredible amount of learning in a short period of time! Training periods were fun and challenging, and overall really enjoyable. If you exceeded at your position, upward mobility did exist and it was offered fast and in direct correlation with your acheivements.

    Cons

Incredibly low pay that was non-compensatory to the job. With the amount of information one is required to know and the amount of relationship building skills one is required to utilize daily the compensation plan definitely has room for improvement.

    Advice to Management

My director manager was amazing. I have no advice to him. I hope he's out there thriving in the journey of life! =)

I have been working at TMS Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Easy work. Quality goals are pretty low. Decent pay for the area.

    Cons

Poor management. Benefit's fluctuate pretty drastically. Lots of leading on for internal opportunity which they then hire from outside the company.

    Advice to Management

Keep your promise, hire from within, stop backwards progression. The biggest issue I have is you would rather make a job harder because the rules are outdated than change the rules to make the job easier and better structured.

I worked at TMS Health full-time

    Pros

The location has a lot of places to eat nearby. There are other companies within the facility. The building is pretty secure.

    Cons

Mgmt breathing down your neck to hit ridiculous goal to only NOT get paid your commission. Bio breaks come out of your legally mandated break time so save those for your paltry 30 minute lunch in the crowded cafeteria.

    Advice to Management

Stop micromanaging and shortchanging then your employees will be more productive. Also let people know that it is in fact a call center.

I worked at TMS Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent hours, easy work, friendly co workers, easy interview process, decent medical, dental, vision benefits and 401k package, decent training

    Cons

Terrible management, no communication between management and front line reps, micro managing to the max, no room for growth, broken promises

    Advice to Management

This is by far the worst company I have worked for. Management is too focused on making themselves look good for Ken Cross but not actually caring about how their reps are doing. The Scranton office promotes people based on how much of a suck up you are and not by how well you preform the job or if you're actually qualified for it. Morale was always low since there were so incentives to be earned since we "didn't have a budget". Many people who were promoted are still waiting for raises after 6 months of being in their new position. So my advice my advice would be to just skip on employment here, it's where careers go to die.

I worked at TMS Health (More than a year)

    Pros

The interview process was a rigorous 3 part interview with up to 4-5 different Supervisors and department managers from both TMS and Roche Diagnostics. A demonstration of how well you can instruct a person on how to use a Blood Glucose Meter is part of the process and you are given just 15 minutes of prep time.
The initial classroom training is an intense 2 1/2 weeks long with frequent quizzes and tests.
The entire OJT period can last more than 5 months depending how fast you can meet the three stage performance requirements.
You learn a lot about yourself during this period and this continues throughout your employment.
Many transferable skills such as communication, troubleshooting, critical decision making, accountability, goal setting, and personal drive are gained and strengthened.

    Cons

The benefits package is not very good. High deductible and only 80/20 after it is exceeded.
No scheduled pay increases. The only extra pay each month is a two tier bonus program based on very demanding Metrics/KPI's that have to do with measuring time.
    Extremely micromanaged environment.
TMS employees have to take unpaid holidays off that Roche employees get paid for.
The job can be incredibly mentally and physically, stressful for long periods of time depending on how you deal with stress. This is due to customer hold times, as well as dealing with angry, stubborn, physically and mentally degraded individuals etc.
Very little down time or interaction with coworkers.
Very little chance for quick advancement into Roche.

    Advice to Management

Find a way to make TMS employees feel like equals to their Roche counterparts. It raises moral and makes TMS employees feel more respected and valued.
Provide more opportunity for career growth both within TMS but also Roche.
