High stress, mid reward

Pros

Wonderful product, easy line to sell, great education and recent field management team. Very gratifying work with clients and coworkers. Really excellent health, dental, and personal care benefits.

Cons

Be prepared to be laid off or fired at any moment. This job was high stress, with goals and structure constantly changing and communication being inconsistent. Some leaders were very professional and easy to work with, others high strung and seemly kept around for legacy/friendship reasons. Never saw anyone in the field team quit with a 2 week notice and a nice good bye- everyone that leaves is either fired, laid off, or they quit on bad terms.

Pros

The product line is decent

Cons

Second time posting this review. The fact that my first one was taken down is a great indicator of the lack of transparency you can look forward to with this company. Other cons?… -Harassment -Inappropriate conduct -Toxic work environment It’s built into their offer letter that by signing on you are agreeing to make this your 24/7 priority!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re very sorry to read about your experience, particularly given the seriousness of the concerns you’ve raised. At The INKEY List, we have clear policies, reporting channels, and a zero-tolerance approach to harassment, inappropriate conduct, or any behaviour that undermines a respectful and inclusive workplace. When concerns are raised with us directly, they are taken seriously, investigated thoroughly, and addressed appropriately. We also want to clarify that companies are not able to control or remove reviews on Glassdoor. Content is moderated independently by the platform in line with its own guidelines. We recognise that individual experiences can vary, and feedback like this is important. We remain committed to continuing to learn, improve, and ensure that all employees feel supported and respected. We would always encourage anyone with concerns to raise them through the appropriate internal channels so they can be properly reviewed.

Pros

The only good thing about working for The INKEY List, would be selling genuinely good products.

Cons

Favoritism. Harassment. Inconsistency. I’m not sure where to begin. Orientation was disorganized and lacked structure, which should have been my first red flag. Training consisted of two days over Zoom, after which employees were expected to perform at full capacity with minimal guidance. There was a clear pattern of the same individuals being called out repeatedly, while others’ successes were rarely acknowledged. Expectations and feedback were inconsistent — one week you’re meeting metrics and being told you’re doing well, the next you’re facing disciplinary action with little clarity on what changed. Leadership frequently spoke about avoiding “gossip,” yet engaged in it themselves, creating a culture of distrust. Overall, the environment felt hostile, reactive, and poorly managed. I would strongly encourage others to carefully consider whether this is the right fit for them.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re very sorry to read that your experience at The INKEY List felt this way. Creating a workplace where people feel respected, supported and able to raise concerns openly is incredibly important to us. We take feedback about culture, management and workplace behaviour seriously, and we are continually working to strengthen how we support and communicate with our teams as the business grows. The experience you describe is not the environment we strive to create. While individual experiences can differ, we encourage anyone with concerns to raise them through the appropriate channels so they can be properly reviewed and addressed. Thank you again for sharing your perspective, and we wish you all the best in the future. — The INKEY List
