Pros

None. He'll act interested in you at first, then he will dump you. Especially, do not work here if you're a woman.

Cons

He will ask about everything personal you submit on business forms to him. He will interrogate you. If you're a woman, he will say you're "better at taking notes" or "better at keeping timesheets". He will not give you any time to onboard, then say "no one can handle his fast-paced environment." Micromanaging is an understatement. He didn't like how I tried to solve an issue for him (which also left his partner stumped, not just me) so he offered each person in the office lunch except for me. I think there's being a bad manager, and then there's being a cruel person. Tom is the ladder.

Sour grapes we guess... It is unfortunate that you had such a turn of emotions (you seemed happy up until the point you were accountable to do something) with the separation from Think Connected within the first 2 weeks of being hired. We hired you with very high hopes and realized you were not going to be able to deliver to the level you set our expectations to. While we can understand you being disappointed (we certainly are as well), we feel this was the best course of action for both parties (it seems you agree). We truly wish you the best of luck moving forward.

Pros

Good location, parking, nice coworkers, and mostly decent clients. Half of the management / ownership team is easy to work with and approachable. Lots of technologies to learn, free snacks.

Cons

I wanted to stay neutral and not even write a review, but seeing the obviously planted positive reviews I felt I had to say something. Other half of management (which handles management of employees) is truly a toxic narcissistic train wreck. You probably heard that in the other reviews, and its true. Be ready to defend yourself often, and bill lots of hours to keep management happy. You will leave work most days feeling dejected and beat down with your confidence in shambles. . This company is a revolving door, turnover is around 70% annually, and its not from the market, its the fact that management chases people away. The company also used to be larger, but the high turnover caused clients to leave in droves.

Happy New Year! We honestly feel bad for you that after having worked here in the past that you make (and also have the) time to come back and disparage your former employers again. We hope that works out for your in the long run and you find the happiness and job satisfaction that you are seeking. Something is telling me that because of your post, you probably have not... We feel it may be because you are spending your energy looking backwards instead of forward. In response to some of your allegations, Think Connected has their employees set a goal of working 35 hours a week on customer IT work. As a professional services company that is extremely reasonable and there have been many employees who have easily demonstrated this is possible. Additionally, our profitability (which has been stellar for 17 years running) has not been effected by any of the challenges you allege. WE JUST PROVIDED RAISES AND BONUSES (BOTH) to our happy employees in the 5-10% (many of them did not work here for even full year yet). Based on our track record it is also probably likely that you received those as well (maybe you feel bad that you miss it). It's enjoyable and rewarding for our management to deliver this type of good news to the employees who are deserving of it. We look forward to doing more of this in the future which is looking especially bright in 2023. Move on, be happy, and do something positive for yourself instead of being negative on others. Your life may be in a much better place than it is today.

Pros

I have been working here for about 6 months, and I love coming into work everyday. I can confidently say that Derek and Tom are some of the best teachers and mentors that I have ever had, they are patient with someone like me who is a complete beginner in the IT industry. In the short amount of time I have spent with the company I have been able to grow in my role and take on more responsibility.

Cons

Since think connected is a growing company , there is a lot of times when staff can be stretched thin, when we have a high ticket load. But to be honest the amount of times when I have felt overwhelmed by my workload has been minimal.
