I have been working at Top Guard Security full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

They provide uniforms. If you have open availability overtime will never be an issue for you.

    Cons

You are only a number for the company. They do not care about you as a person. Communication within the office and to the guards is horrible.

    Advice to Management

Stop caring so much about your top dollar and more about the personnel you have working for you. You are hiring people not robots. Don't force a supervisor to keep a guard because the client likes them if the guard doesn't follow regulations and isn't good for the site overall.

I have been working at Top Guard Security full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    No transportation required nor experience.

    Cons

Long hours if not relived on time.

    Advice to Management

Try to allow a "temporary staffing" scheduling in case of last minute demands from clientele such as an automated messaging system that employees call to aknowledge that they are able to work the day they call in.

I have been working at Top Guard Security part-time

    Pros

As long as you are with the right contract, you will get paid above average. You can get as many hours as you make yourself available for. Overtime is available based on situations and events the company has been contracted for.

    Cons

High turnover. Some account managers are better than others. Some site supervisors are better than others. Time off can be hard to get once you provide your availability at your hire date. You will be held to that availability you provided.

    Advice to Management

Take a bigger look at reasons for high turnover on specific sites. Some have minimal, some have high. What are the causes? Is it personnel, or is it the site supervisor?
