I worked at Topshop part-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

The discounts are amazing and there is huge exposure to celebs and wannabe celebs lol!

      Cons

With the Atlanta store, progression to upper levels of management is pretty slow; feedback is usually and typically mostly given when you’re being reprimanded while positive is seldom my given.

      I worked at Topshop part-time

      Pros

It’s great working with a bunch of different people everyday. You get to dress up or dress down, dress however you want within the company guidelines (just no visible name brand clothing). Can be a good environment for people your age

      Cons

Hard to get promoted. Unless you are a manager, you are considered “part-time” and can not work more than 39 hours in a week. The pay is not that much for New York living (I made I believe $12.75/hr after my pay raise of $1.25/hr). You really have to be living at your parents home to work here and be able to “make” money.

I worked at Topshop part-time for more than a year

      Pros

Great managers and coworkers, good environment, paid and in-depth training, nice location.

      Cons

At my time of employment (the first year the store was open) there were too many workers and most everyone got very little hours. When people started leaving, management made it known that they were looking to hire more people instead of giving still-existing workers more shifts.

      Advice to Management

Encourage employees (in a private setting) to speak up about their satisfaction (or dissatisfaction) with their number of current hours.
