Supportive colleagues but long hours and shifting priorities

Pros

The people are by far the best part of working at Treasure Data. I worked with incredibly talented, supportive, and collaborative colleagues who made even the most challenging days worthwhile. There were also strong opportunities to learn, take ownership, and contribute to high-impact initiatives across the business.

Cons

Employees often work very long hours due to lean staffing and constantly shifting priorities. The CEO frequently introduced new initiatives and changing directions without fully considering the impact on existing workloads or team capacity. This created a reactive environment where it was difficult to focus and plan effectively. There was often a disconnect between leadership messaging and execution, with promises made that were not always followed through on. The company also lacked a consistent long-term vision, which contributed to uncertainty and made it challenging for teams to stay aligned on strategic priorities.

Pros

-Make a large number of AI and productivity tools available to employees -Customer-centric culture, work with interesting brands -Generous bonus program although new changes make higher payouts less likely -Flexible time off (unlimited PTO) -401(k) match with immediate vesting

Cons

-Rotating door of executives; management team in constant flux and things can feel chaotic -Some execs preach work-life balance for teams but do the opposite in practice -CEO goes down rabbit holes and spends time on projects of questionable value to the business -No swag provided to new employees -No equity refreshers or incentives offered to long-tenured employees such as sabbaticals
