Pros

Ownership of the Product because no - one else will do it.

Cons

The organization lacks formal structure and defined processes. Most decisions are centralized with the founder, resulting in heavy micromanagement and limited autonomy for employees. There are no paid leaves, no fixed working hours, and strong enforcement of login times without clarity on logout times. Employment is contract-based. The company is not registered in India and does not provide statutory benefits such as PF. There is no formal salary breakdown, limited employment documentation, and no clear record of work history from the organization. The founder requires multiple daily status calls (typically three per day), which interrupts focused work and creates a constant high-pressure environment similar to daily sprint deadlines. The founder operates from Australia, and working hours are aligned primarily to his availability. Non-technical staff are expected to start at 6 AM IST, while the development team starts at 8 AM IST. Previously, all employees were required to start at 4:30 AM IST, regardless of conditions. During the founder’s visit to India, work timings were temporarily shifted to 9 AM. After his return to Australia, timings were reverted, indicating inconsistent policies based on location rather than team sustainability. Professional conduct is inconsistent. Communication can be abrasive at times, and respectful workplace norms are not consistently upheld. The HR function lacks authority and is not treated as an independent or empowered department.
