    Pros

Great values and benefits. Attempting to create a culture that values people.

    Cons

Pay is often on the lower end of the market average and they are growing at a rate that is challenging to keep up with. If you do not like change, this is not the place for you.

I have been working at UCHealth full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Leadership has incredible mission and vision. Great benefits. Appropriate pay and generous PTO. This company feel like family, you won't want to leave.

    Cons

Large system and it can be difficult to move up into leadership if that is your goal so networking is essential.

I have been working at UCHealth full-time

    Pros

    Very big healthcare organization.

    Cons

About as bad as you can get on the Epic Ambulatory team.

Low employee morale. No collaboration or networking between colleagues.
You’re shifted to a ticket system where the majority of your work comes from with no direction or guidance.
All high level projects and recognition go to the same few people.
Managers lack leadership and seem to be covering themselves most of the time. Decision making and approvals come from the director and that by far isn’t the easiest or nicest person to deal with.
No career growth. If you’re not of their few favorites, don’t even bother working hard to grow on this team. They seem to have chosen the people they want to offer growth opportunities, promotions, and send for Epic certifications. Lots of clear frustration on the team that anyone refuses to acknowledge.

Pay is very low for Epic Analyst.

I have been working at UCHealth full-time

    Pros

    Hospital is verybreputable throughout Colorado.

    Cons

Horrible office environment. No one interacts or talks. No team networking or collaboration. Sometimes it feels like solitary confinement.

Only 3 to 4 people on a team of about 30 who are considered “favorites” and are highly recognized, offered certifications and promotions while the rest of the team sits in limbo about their career.
No growth opportunities or room for advancement. Bringing your concerns to management about the growth you’d like to see, you’re often shut down and reminded about what you’re not doing and how you can be doing it better. Often keeping you in a conundrum about your career with the company.

Even with 3 managers, all decisions come from the director, who is not the most pleasant or easiest person to cope with. Seems like the managers are willing to throw you under the bus for the benefit of the director.

Very high employee turnover. New employees have the “What have I gotten myself into” look on their face.

Extremely low pay for Epic analyst in Colorado.

Non productive meetings, including the once a month team meeting where you’re constantly reminded about the awesome job their favorites are doing for an hour.

Be careful joining this organization’s very corruptive Epic Ambulatory team.

    Advice to Management

    TRUST YOUR EMPLOYEES.
