I have been working at Unicity full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

ok products, good people (in general but not all of them), good camaraderie, excellent distributors, good life-work balance, stable company that has been around for a while,

    Cons

lower than average salaries, horrible environment if you end up working in the wrong department, one particular executive should be fire - he promotes and tolerate gossip, back-stubbing, and makes the overall culture unbearable -- watch your back...

    Advice to Management

You are loosing and have lost good people because you do not pay attention to what's going on under your noses. Do not be afraid to fire the bad apples.

I worked at Unicity full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The pay checks were always on time... It's a health and wellness company so they focused on healthy living which I am all for. The have very defined roles and expectations. Both Direct manager's I had their were awesome family oriented people, good role models with a healthy balance.

    Cons

Dis-honest management. "Exec Row" was very intimidating and very few people from the company ever felt they could approach them. Communication between departments sometimes felt hostile. I would have loved to learn more about other people and departments.

    Advice to Management

Play with the people, get to know them a little better. These are people who are in the trenches fighting those odd battles you would prefer not too. Recognize the little people a little bit better, like you do the customers. You do an amazing job in recognizing the distributors and customers, now treat the people at home base like the all-stars they are, and why you hired and believed in them!
Introduce culture games and recognition programs that target all employees. Take time to sit with them, do 1-on-1's and learn how the people make you great.

I have been working at Unicity full-time

    Pros

Fun work environment, nice work/life balance, great middle management

    Cons

Top level management is very religious and create an uncomfortable environment for those that aren't religious. For example, they hold company parties at Mormon churches and ask employees to say a prayer over food. I respect their beliefs, but the workplace is not the place to share them. Employees feel like they need to be a member of their faith to progress within the company.

I have been working at Unicity full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working with international team members and customers. Great people to work with. Reasonable pay. Tuition reimbursement. Fantastic operations group.

    Cons

Questionable ethics in upper management team. Too much revenue dependant on very few markets. Management struggles to grow existing markets.

    Advice to Management

Stop listening to the unscupulous advice of the former-President. Streamline your product offering and obey the laws of the land in all the countries you do business in. Keep up the training programs for employees, that is a bright star.
